Toni Michele Braxton POV
"Kenny, move away from him" I said
"What are you doing to him?" He asked wiping his bloody hands on his shirt
"I am doing cpr" I said doing it for the next two minutes and he coughed
"Call an ambulance" I said to him
"I did and they just arrived"
"Sir we need you to move out of the way so we can transport Mr Kodjoe to the hospital. Dr Braxton are you coming with?"
"Yes, I'll be right after you" I said taking my car keys
"Ken, let's go!" I yelled and he came running
"Where is my mom?" He asked me
"At a friend's place. She said she is sleeping there and so is Ashleen"
"Ok, if the police ask questions what are you going to tell them?" He asked and I looked at him
"The truth" I said
"Oh..." he trailed off and we pulled up at the hospital and ran inside
"How is he doing?" I asked the doctor
"Mr Boris is in coma right now. We don't know if he is going to survive the night. I called the police to take a statement from the two of you since you know what happened" he explained
"Thank you for your help" I said and the police came in. Kenny looked at me with so much sadness in his eyes
The police questioned us in different rooms and they left. Kenny looked defeated, I hate seeing him like this
Three days later
I was getting ready for work when I heard a loud knock on the door.
"I'll get it!" Kenny yelled
"Tone!" I heard him shout and I ran down the stairs to see the police
"Kenneth Brian Edmonds, you are under arrest for the murder of Boris Kodjoe." He said said cuffing him. "You have to remain silent, anything you do or say can be used against you in the court of law. You have a right to an attorney if you don't have one the court will provide you with one"
"But when I left the hospital last night Boris was fine. When did he die?" I asked one of the police officers
"He died this morning because he went into cardiac arrest."
"Ok, thanks"
I rushed back upstairs and called Kenny's lawyer and mine. I am going to do whatever it takes to get him out of there.
