"Are you feeling okay? You look kind of pale.." Jin says, but I can hardly focus on what he says. Instead, I'm paying attention to the man sitting right in the next booth over.  For now, I feel like I shouldn't drag Jin into anything to do with this man.  He doesn't deserve to get into trouble just because he's with me.

Jin's hand touches my forehead.  "You feel kind of warm. I'll take you home."  He stands, leaving the money for our food and drinks on the table. He helps me stand up.  I feel like I can't focus on anything other than the man.  I look at the floor as we walk by.

I lead him to my apartment, which I'm kind of embarrassed about. From the outside even, it looks like a trashy place to live. It's all my mother and I could afford.  Even now that my mother is gone, if I work hard enough I might be able to keep up with rent with three or four part time jobs.

"This is it." I tell him.  He seems sort of surprised that I live here. It's not exactly an area known for it's safety..

"Go on in. I'll come back in a few minutes. I'm going to go buy some medicine. Okay?" Jin motions me to go inside, so I do.  I don't feel like arguing with him right now that I'm really fine and that he doesn't need to buy medicine for someone like me who owes him so much already.

I go to lay down, but before I do the door opens again. It slams into the wall and before I turn around I know exactly who it is who opened it. I freeze. I know I need to act fast and do something, but the fear of him that has grown more and more over time hits me. I'm helpless and weak against him. He really could do anything to me right now. And that just scares me more.

I'm grabbed from behind. The man from the cafe, the man that hurt my mother, wears the smirk I've always hated. "Where's your mother, huh?  Where's the money she owes me?!" He slams me into the wall, hard. I don't answer back, instead I feel my eyes get hot, tears streaming down my face.

He punches me in the face. "Do you know how many times I've come here looking for one of you?! Do you know how long I've been waiting?! How long both of you have kept me waiting?!"

When I still don't respond, he grabs me by the collar of my shirt and throws me into the ground. I see that he might start kicking me, I curl up, protecting my head as much as I can. I can feel myself shaking. This is the same thing he did to my mother. And now it's happening to me

A/N: Thank you for hanging in there for another update! I haven't had much time to write recently :(((
