2024 - Thank you for taking the time to read this fan fiction! I wanted to point out that this was originally written in 2012/2013. I was in middle school at the time, if it isn't obvious by all the misspellings and plot line holes! I am now an adult and I wanted to point out that originally I had included in this chapter and the previous one an inappropriate action where Jake slapped Harper. I want you to know that it is NEVER okay for ANYONE to lay hands on you. especially someone you are romantically interested in. THAT IS NOT LOVE! I have removed that from these chapters. I was young when I wrote this and was writing based on other fan fics I had read at the time and never fully grasped the inappropriate actions I was reading about. I'm sorry I ever included such disgusting behavior even if is not real! I will most likely never rewrite this fan fiction as I have so many other things going on in my life but I still log onto here a couple times of a year. If there is anything else you find unacceptable please leave a comment and I will try my best to remove it or fix it. Thank you.

I woke up to the sunlight beaming in through the window.

Sunlight?

That's a miracle, you don't see the sunlight a lot around here.

I got out of bed and took a shower, I put my robe on and walked outside onto the patio. The air was warm, no rain today. The sum shined bright, with no clouds today.

So weird to have weather like this in La Push. It's always raining, especially during February.

I walked back in and changed into white shorts, it's pretty warm outside so might as well wear them. I put on a white tank top and a tan colored cardigan. I slipped on my brown gladiator sandals and a golden headband that went across my forehead.

I put on some eyeliner and grabbed my bag, I ran down the stairs and skipped breakfast. I got in my car and drove to school.

I sighed and got out. I was met by Nate. "Hey Harper" He smiled. "Hi," I replied as we walked to the front doors of the school. "You look pretty today" He muttered. I raised my eyebrow at him. His cheeks turned a soft pink.

I let out a small laugh.

"Thanks" I smiled and walked to my locker. "Let me help you" He offered as he grabbed some of my books. I looked at him suspiciously, "Thanks" I mumbled and shut my locker. I grabbed my books from him.

We walked in silence. "Uh about what I said yesterday, I-"

"No it's okay" I cut him off, trying to save us from awkwardness. "Okay then" He mumbled. "So is your cheek okay?" He asked. "Ya it's fine" I answered as we entered our first class. We were the first.

"Harper"

I turned around, Jake stood in front of me. "Hey," I said softly as I set my things down next to Nate's. "Can we talk?" He asked. Nate looked at me as if to say no. I gave him a small smile, "Sure" I replied.

Jake grabbed my stuff, "What are you do-" He cut me off by dragging me to my locker. "Put in your combo," He said sternly. I raised my eyebrow and put in my combo. He opened it and threw my stuff in. "Hey what are you doing?" I asked him as he shut my locker and grabbed my wrist.

"Jake, what's wrong with you?" I asked him as he dragged me outside. "Have you ever skipped school?" He asked. I looked at him confused. Suddenly his little plan hit me.

"No. no. no Jake are you crazy I'm not skipping school" I said harshly. "My dad will freak" I hissed. "Come on, be a bad girl for once, plus you don't want to spend this sunny day stuck in school, do you?" He asked, a goofy smile on his face.
