"Okay, I'll be there in 10 minutes" I tell Triston through the phone.

"Alright, see you soon." He says then hangs up.

I sigh and grab my purse, somehow Triston convinced me to go to the carnival with him and Austin. I normally wouldn't go, but Triston really wanted me too. Plus, you cannot say 'no' to Triston's puppy dog face, it's impossible. I get into my truck start the engine; it can't be that bad, who knows I might have a lot of fun. I'm not worried about spending time with Triston, if anything I'm actually excited.

I pull into the carnivals parking lot and text Triston that I'm here. I lock my doors and head towards the ticket booth. It's your typical carnival, junk food, lots of rides, and creepy carnies. Although the Farris wheel here is huge, I make a mental note not to ride it.

"Hey, what's up Sage" Triston says from behind me. He puts his arm around my shoulders and gives me a quick squeeze.

Austin wrinkles his nose at the sight, "Um, no flirting in front of me, thanks" he says and raises his hands.

I smack his shoulder and feel my cheeks warm up, "Shut up Newman" I grumble .

Triston just shakes his head, "I'll get the tickets" he tells us then shoves his hands in his pockets.

Austin just smirks at my discomfort, does he not have anything better to do with his life? I roll my eyes at him.

"You and Triston hooked up yet?" Austin asks curiously when Triston leaves.

"Seriously?"

"What"

"We're just friends" I confirm.

Austin winks, "For now" is all he says.

I don't know why he thinks Triston likes me. Although I wouldn't be mad if he did, I don't find Triston ugly, in fact he's pretty cute... Snap out of it Sage, we're just friends, that's all we will ever be.

"I got the tickets.." Triston says then stops when he sees our faces, "Everything alright?" He asks.

"We're great, lets go ride some rides" Austin says then gives him a cheeky grin.

Triston hesitates for a second then follows Austin. I follow behind Triston, ending up between both of them.

"Let's ride this one first" Triston says excitedly grabbing Austin and my shoulders.

Of course Triston would want to ride the fastest ride that spins the most, just great. I gulp, I can't chicken out now.

"What are we waiting for" I state and get in line. I don't know what I'm doing, I hate these types of rides. Especially ones called 'the freak out' that spin upside down. So what am I doing in line? I honestly don't know.

Triston chuckles and crosses his arms, "I don't think you can handle this ride"

All fear of riding 'the freak out' escapes my body, "What did you just say?" I warn putting a hand on my hip.

Austin groans, "Can we just ride the freaking ride"

Triston thinks I'm too scared to ride 'the freak out'? He's wrong, very wrong.

Stepping in front of the boys I make my way up the stairs to get on. Sitting down, a carny makes sure I'm buckled in properly then secures Triston's seat next to me.
