One Last Promise

Chapter 4

"Uhhh..." I hummed.

"Come on baby... Wake up please. I have your surprise in the bedroom" Michael said.

"But... But..."

"I'll carry you in there baby"

"Fine" I said begrudgingly.

"Come on girly" Michael said while gently picking me up and carrying me wedding style.

"What did you get me?" I asked.

"Wait a couple more minutes girly" He said, walking into the bedroom. He walked over to the bed and laid me down on the bed. When he laid me down, I noticed a big box on the ground, next to the foot of the bed. The box was wrapped in heart wrapping paper.

I sat up and slowly moved towards the end of the bed, closer to the box. As I got closer, Michael walked over to the box.

"Come on baby, it won't bite you" Michael chuckled.

I got to the end of the bed and sat right in front of the box.

"Babe... I'm kinda scared" I said.

"It's fine girly, just open it. Unless you don't want to know"

"Hey now, I want to know"

"Then open the box baby" Michael said playfully.

I put my hands on the top of the box and closed my eyes. I quickly took the top off and looked inside the box.

"OH MY FUCKING GOD BABE!!!" I squealed. I couldn't believe what it was... It was a puppy.

"I thought you might say that" Michael chuckled.

I reached down in the box and gently picked up the small,adorable puppy. It was a tan and cream color and its collar had a big red bow on it. I held it in my arms as it licked my face and chin.

"Babe..." I started crying "I love you so fucking much."

"I love you too baby"

I walked over to Michael and he hugged me. We just stood there, with the puppy in my arms, hugging.

"Do you like her?" Michael asked.

I looked down at the puppy. "I love her babe"

"Know what kind she is?"

"No, what kind?"

"Half husky, half german shepherd"

"Awwww, babe. But wait, is this why all the spare moneys gone?"

"Yes... I'm so sorry I didn't tell you girly. I just wanted it to be a surprise."

"Babe?" I asked.

"Yes baby?"

"You said you had two surprises. What's the second one?"

"Oh yeah, that's right. Well baby..." He trailed off.

"Yeah???"

"We get to go to dinner tonight!"

"Awe babe! Where?"

"Anywhere you want to go baby"

"I love you" I kissed Michael's cheek.

"I love you more baby girl" He kissed my forehead.

"And I love you" I said to the puppy before I kissed her nose.

"What do you want to name her?" Michael asked.

"Hmmm... I'll think about it during dinner"

"Baby?"

"Yes?"

"Turn around"

I thought that was odd of him to ask, but I did.

"And close your eyes" He added.

I did so.

I could feel something cold around my neck, but I felt Michael's warm hands clipping it together.

"Open your eyes baby"

I did so.

I walked to the mirror and gasped. It was a beautiful necklace. The chain was a braided chain and the pendant was a heart. One half of the heart was a fishing hook and the other half was a deer antler.

"It's all sterling silver baby"

"Babe, I love it! Thank you. I love you" I said walking back over to him and kissing him on the lips.

"I love you more" He kissed me back.

"Impossible" I said, breaking away.

"Come here" Michael smiled. He wrapped his arms around me and just held me and the puppy.

"Hey babe?" I asked.

"Yes girly?"

"How come you spent so much on me?"

"Cause your my princess and you deserve to be spoiled"

"Babe, I didn't need any of this, well I mean maybe the puppy, but not the necklace or dinner."

"I know baby. I just wanted to spoil my girl." He kissed my forehead.

The puppy started squirming in my arms, so I bent down and set her on the floor. I stood back up and hugged Michael.

"When do you want to go to dinner?" I asked.

"Anytime you want girly"
