First day of hell

I wake up to the basketball buzzer voice of my alarm clock. It's 6:30 am and I have to get ready for school. Ew. The thought of school makes my nose wrinkle in aggravation.

However I smell the mouth watering bacon that I feast on every Monday, as I begin to do my hair and make-up.

I reached for my black eyeliner and my clump free mascara. I notice a minor blemish on my tinted rose cheeks, so I go to my mom's room and ask her for some consealer. I walk into her room to find her sick in her bed, I grab some Vic's vapor rub and rub it on her chest. It saddens me; she is always ill.

I give her a kiss on the forehead and as I do I noticed her everpresent high fever. I grabbed the make up without bothering her once more.

I finish my hair, make-up, and go to eat my pancakes and bacon to start my first day of high school. We get in the car and my favorite song comes on. I start to tap my foot and hum to the tune, as does my father. We both chuckle and before I knew it I was at school.

"You right kiddo?" He asked me, staring at my eyes. I roll them and huff. Jeez dad of course I'm fine. I'm only going to a new school with a bunch of people I don't know so what's not to love?

"Yeah I'm fine." I reply instead. My dad sighs as his phone rings. Stupid phone. He pays so much attention to that thing and it's incredibly annoying. I say nothing as I leave the car and welcome the warm morning breeze.

I walk onto campus and see my usual morning group from last year. as I walk over to join them I spot him across the hall. The boy, from Instagram.

Who the hell are his parents? They must've been gorgeous as hell because this guy was one fine specimen. I let my eyes wander to his khaki shorts, where underneath his V-line lay.

Suddenly, his head tuned and his eyes bore through mine. I couldn't move so I froze. My face was heating up faster than a burrito in a microwave. A couple of his football friends appeared at his side and with that he walked away without giving me a second glance.

My heart sank deep into my chest as I walked on.

The bell rings and I glance at my schedule to find out where I have to go. New school, new classmates, and a new schedule. Scared but confident in what my day holds. I enter the Spanish classroom to find two old friends of mine and I smile.
