"I Know who you are"
I sighed. Well I guess there is no hiding it now. I kept my head down avoiding eye contact with my brother.
"Hope can you just look at me? Please?" I sighed once more and slowly lifted my head until we locked eyes. "Why didn't you tell me?" I shrugged.
You should've known who your sister was. It's not my job to tell you.
Still he's your brother. You could have had the decency to tell him.
Why are you always right?
I sighed once again.
"I don't know. Your life seemed to be going pretty well without me in it. I assumed you had forgotten about me." My shoe laces suddenly seeming like the most interesting thing in the world.
"Oh Hope, I could never forget about you."
"Yet you did since you didn't recognize when I look the fucking same as I did when you left."
He sighed and was silent for about a minute.
"You stopped calling, stopped visiting, what happened. You know I needed you. Especially after we had just lost mom. I felt so alone."
"Lost mom? Hope what are you talking about?"
"You know damn well what I'm talking about. I was there. The car crash. She died on impact remember? What happened to you? How do you not remember the death of your own freaking mother?!"
"I don't remember it, because it never happened.

Moms alive. She didn't die on impact. She just went into a coma?"
