Chapter 22: Heart to Heart
Hope's POV
I groaned and flopped myself on my bed face first into my fluffy pillows. The boys just chuckled at this. It may be entertaining to them but not for me! Ughh I hate guys sometimes. Why couldn't I be a lesbian?
After that embarrassing moment I managed to force all of the boys besides Niall out of my room so he could explain to me what happened.

"So she never passed away?"
"No hope, she didn't." Thank god. "I still don't under why you thought she had though."
I continued to explain to him how when I woke up after the crash the doctor came in to give me the bad news. Explaining how she died on impact and there was nothing they could do to bring her back. After he walked out of my room dad came in and told me that we would be moving because staying in that house reminded him too much of mom.
"He was fine for a bit but he started to blame me for moms death." I bowed my head and continued to look at my feet.
"Why would he think that it was your fault?"
"He said that I should've died. Not mom. But he knew that she was alive, so I don't get why he did it."
"Did he ever.. you know... hurt you?" Niall asked me wearily.
I kept my gaze to the floor and I think that gave him the answer that he has been dreading. He quickly pulled me into his tight embrace. After a few moments he whispered to me, "don't worry Hope, I will never let him hurt you again. You're safe with me."
Niall's pov:
I asked her the question I had been dreading, "Did he ever.. you know... hurt you?"
When she refused to look up at me it confirmed my worst thoughts.
I pulled her into my arms never wanting to let go. After a few moments I whispered to her, "don't worry Hope, I will never let him hurt you again. You're safe with me." From this day forward I swore to myself that I would never let him near her again. My sister my responsibility.
