"Safe." Hazel simply said as her eyes danced around the safe room Feli had brought her to. It was the most beautiful place she has ever seen. The ceiling was high, the walls wide. There was food! And beds! and tables and chairs! (Hello Mister Chair! Chair: Hello, OwlTurtle-San!)There was a door that lead to clean bathrooms with bathtubs to wash up in.

The other that Hazel assumed were the friends Feli had told her about whispered to each other, probably talking about her and whether she was with the monsters, but Hazel didn't care. She sat down at one of the table and started swinging her legs.

"Why don't we ask her some questions?" One of the friends said. He had a British accent and weird looking eyebrows. Hazel didn't say it aloud, though. She wanted to make friends again and not be alone anymore.

The other looked like they agreed and the boy turned to Hazel.

"Hello, My name's Arthur." He greeted as he sat down next to her. "You're Hazel, right?"

"....Hazel? Name.....Yes." She tried snatching the right words that scurried around in her mind. She patted the table. "Table."

"Yes, that's a table." Arthur gave a small smile to make her feel comfortable. "How long have you been here?"

That question again. She remembered that Feli had asked her already.

"...long. Days. Days and Days. Long time."

Arthur gave a look at his friends before asking:

"Did you come here with anyone? Any friends?"

Hazel's dull eyes widened, as if suddenly fearful of Arthur. Her small hands grasped the end of the table and her look became distant.

"....friends." She said sadly, gulping as her gaze went to the floor. "O'Brien....Taegen...Max....."

"Do you know were they are?"

"..............Gone. All gone......" Her voice became hoarse as it turned into a wail.

"My fault! Protect....failed."

"Shh!" Arthur hushed as he grabbed her arm, trying to calm her down. "It's okay. Everything's fine."

"I'm sorry that happened to-a you." Feli said sadly as he placed a reassuring hand on Hazel's shoulder. She didn't respond to either of them, her eyes once again staring into space...

"Food."

Hazel stared at the cheese covered pasta on her plate and felt her mouth go into a smile. She was happy for once.

"Yep~ Pasta~!" Feli replied happily as he served the other at the table. The only ones you sat next to her was a blond haired, serious, blue eyed boy who seemed in charge and a smaller boy who was about her height. The first one seemed to like to keep an eye on her an the other seemed more interested in being polite.

She felt uncomfortable. She knew neither of their names......how do you ask again?

"You..." She turned to the blonde haired man. "you......name?"

"Ludwig." He replied, his German accent slightly intimidating. "My name is Ludwig."

"You....?" She asked the raven haired boy who also sat next to her.

"My name is Honda Kiku. Kiku is my first name."

"Ludwig.....Kiku....." She mumbled, trying to somehow store those names into her memory.

After they had all finished with their meal, they all started to plan something. Hazel couldn't exactly follow what they were saying as they were speaking very fast, but once someone said monster, she tensed.

"Oni..." She muttered.

"What?" All of them said at once as they turned to her. Hazel blinked, realizing that all eyes had turned to her.

"Oni..." She whispered again, looking like a turtle that stuck it's head back in it's shell after getting poked at. "M-monster."

All of them looked at each other, whispering things that Hazel couldn't understand. She caught snippets of "How" and "Oni?". She shivered slightly at each little whisper, clutching the end of her chair.

"How do you know that, Hazel-San?"

She jumped at the voice next to her, turning to see Kiku looking at her. The room once again becoming silent.

"Whispers..." She shuddered. Her own voice seemed to scare her.

All of them noticed the cold aura in the room that had suddenly creeped in. It was like they all had been dipped into a bucket of ice cold water.

"Whatever!" Lovino, Feli's older brother, shook it off first. "I'm tired and I'm going to bed!"

"Where's Hazel going to sleep?"

Everyone paused, staring at each other. They then broke into yelling in fighting. Hazel, being upset by the loud noises easily, snuck off as Ludwig yelled:

"Enough! Feli, you sleep with your brother! Then Hazel will be able to sleep in her own bed."

Lovino didn't seem to agree at first, but finally agreed due to his own exhaustion.

"When we wake up in the morning, we'll search the basement we got a key to."

Author's Note: Hello, Friendly Friends! Lately I've been getting into Ao Oni and stuff, so I've watched a lot of PewDiePie and Strihiryu lately. I recommend them! They're awesome! Hopefully you like this chapter, the beginning is off to a slow start, but it'll get better I promise!
