ChAPteR FoUR

"Finally!" Alfred cheered once the four had came back from their discovery. "We can finally get out of this hell!"

"After all this time in here, we can finally get out." Yao gave a sigh. A content smile spread on the Asian's face. Hazel couldn't remember ever being happier ever since she had arrived in that mansion.

Feli, however, remained silent. The young Italian boy seemed to be the only one that wasn't celebrating. His face was pulled into a frown that was too big to really fit on his face. It was as if he knew something that everyone else didn't know.

"We're almost there." Ludwig told the others. All of their excitement was covered up by the fact that the monster might pop up any moment. A chill fell on Hazel, but she knew that the monster wasn't here. It was something else...like the feeling that it was trap...

"What's wrong?" A familiar rough voice asked. She looked up at Lovino. He had noticed that she had fallen behind.

"Wrong...?" She muttered, trying to find the words that described how she was feeling. "Nervous....Scared. Feels like...trap."

"A trap?" Lovino's eyebrows furrowed into an even more grumpy expression, if that was even as possible. "What do you mean?"

She opened her mouth to reply but was interrupted when they had made it to the door.

"It's beyond this door." Ludwig said as he opened the door. Hazel could her own heartbeat again, a overwhelming sense of danger made her clutch onto Lovino's arm. Lovino blushed and tried to get away from her, but he under-estimated her strength. He gave up after a while and just followed everyone in.

"It's just around this corner..." Antonio told them as they turned around the corner...

To see the Monster had burned the rope ladder so that they couldn't get away.

"Run!" Ludwig shouted as it advanced on them. No one hesitated to turn around and run away from the blue monster. It's loud footsteps pounded the ground as it chased them...

Someone yelped, obviously tripping, from behind. Hazel looked back to see that Ludwig had tripped.

"Ludwig!" Gilbert, his older brother, yelled. The Oni raised it's hands to smash Ludwig into the ground...just like it did to Taegen...

Taegen...

"NO!"

Fury once again propelled Hazel into action. She threw herself in front of Ludwig, feeling the pounding of the fist...

She felt herself slump to the ground as the Oni pulled it's fist back. Her collar bone felt snapped, the bone broke the skin causing blood to drip down her shoulder. In a daze, She touched her hand to it, pulling it back to look as her own crimson, wet blood on her hand. Her eyes went back to the Oni who was raising it's fists up to hit her again...

Everyone went faster again as Gilbert rushed forward, slashing a sword at the monster. Hazel felt someone pick her up and run. Everything was starting to blur...was she dying?

"Hazel? Hazel! Wake up!"

What? What was that voice? Hazel's eyes slowly opened. Her vision was blurry at first. Was that brown hair? Her mind hazily thought that it might be O'Brien...

"Wake up, Idiota!"

That's not O'Brien...

She blinked a few times, staring at many worried faces who were all breathing a sigh of relief.

"We're so happy you're-a okay!" Feli cheered, his face brightening. Other's nodded in agreement.

"We got so worried when you passed out in Lovino's arms on the way back!" Yao exclaimed.

Lovino...?

Hazel turned her head back to the boy she had first heard waking up. Lovino blushed red and huffed.

"You're so stupid...You could have been killed back there..." He grumbled, but his tone didn't sound really mad. It actually sounded relieved.

"Sorry." She told him apologetically.

"Aw, Lovino. You're face is as red as a tomato!" Antonio teased. Lovino immediately flew cusses out at him.

"We can't use the rope ladder anymore..." Alfred said, killing the happy mood.

"We'll have to find another way out!" Feli told them. "There has to be a way!"
