I was sitting in my room for like ages now... just staring at my celling. My mom told me to go to my room. She never said I couldn't read. I got up out of bed and walked over to my bookshelf. I scanned the books I had to find one to read.

Hunger games No I have already read that.

Running with scissors No I only read that when I'm depressed.

The blind sight No I don't want to read that

The girl who played with fire looks interesting but I don't want to read about rape

I continued to scan my bookshelf until I found a book I haven't read 1 million times. It looked bran new. I picked it up and look at the book. The cover was free of dents and scratches. Nothing was wrong with the book. The cover read The Fill in Boyfriend Looks interesting. I sat down on my bed and began reading the book.

I must have passed out because I woke up to my phone bussing off the hook. I rubbed my eyes what time is it? I thought. I grabbed my phone out of my pocket and checked the time. It read 5:00 pm; it also flashed reading that I had 10 new messages. Ugh. Why so many messages? I clicked on the message icon on my phone. 3 messages from Emily, 5 messages from Miki and 2 from Josh. I clicked on Emily's messages first.

"Hey babe, do you want to hang out?"

"Hello? Are you there"

"You must be asleep. Just text me when you wake up"

Then I click on the messages from Miki.

" My throat hurts ☹ can you come over please?"

" I'm alone and I don't like it"

" I think I'm getting Sick"

" Hello Nicole? Are u there"

"Please stop ignoring me I'm scared"

I need to answer then. But I have messages from josh I need to answer first. I click on his name and slowly read the messages. These messages were longer then my friends no wonder why I only got two from him.

" Hey, so I know we haven't been away from each other for two long... but I miss you. I miss you so much. Hey do u want me to come over later and pick you up so I can bring you to the movies?"

" Hey sweet apple sauce. I love you. I hope we can cuddle later because u slept really well last night and your going to have a hard time sleeping tonight without me there. Text me back later babe. Kiss Kiss -Josh"

He is such a sweet guy. I think it is funny how he thinks he needs to sign his name right after each message. I have to text him back soon or else he might come over to get to the movies and my dad will scare him away. I think I should call him. I need to ask my girlfriends first let me text them. I'll text them in my group chat.

Nicole: Hey guys so I'm in trouble. And I have been in my room for the past 3 hours sleeping sorry I didn't get back to you guys

Miki: Its okay I was assuming you were asleep. Why are you into trouble?

Emily: Yeah why are you into trouble?

Nicole: so you will never guess it but I wasn't home last night

Miki and Emily: OO spill it give us the details

Nicole: Well I went over to Josh's place to play Grand Theft Auto V with him...

Miki: And

Emily: get on with it

Nicole: if you shut up I will tell you. Now we were cuddling together and I ended up falling asleep over there. And woke up to him making pancakes. (They were the best pancakes I have ever had)

Miki and Emily: Awe that's cute. Let me guess you forgot to text your mom telling her where you were so you're grounded?

Nicole: Yes I'm grounded but Josh wants to go to the movies tonight and I'm planning on sneaking out of the house to do that... now should I call him or text him telling him that I can go to the movies tonight?

Miki: you should go with whatever your heart is telling you to pick. I trust your decisions

Emily: you should text him so you mom doesn't over hear your conversation

Nicole: You're totally right I'm going to text him... brb I need to text him

I close the group chat and open my message icon. I click on Josh's name again and start replying to his messages.

"Hey, So I would love to go to the movies but I'm going to have to sneak out of the house. You're 100% right. I did sleep really well last night and I hope we can do that again. So I'm going to need you to meet me at the corner of my block or behind my house at 2 pm so we can go catch that movie we are talking about. Okay? I miss you too Kiss Kiss"

Okay I answered that now. I need to talk to Miki and Emily now. I went to click on my group chat icon when I got a text back from Josh so I clicked on the message.

"Hey, I'll meet you behind the house at 2 pm. I hope to see you there. -Josh"

I check my phone. It reads 8pm. I need food. I walk out of my room and into the kitchen, I grab the condiments needed to make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and set it on the counter. My dad appears in the doorway of the kitchen.

"Your mother grounded you huh?" he asks

"I don't know why. I made it home in time and as soon as I woke up I texted her where I went." I replied

" Well I have no issue with you sleeping over at peoples houses and to be completely honest I have no issue with that Josh boy. Its just your mother doesn't like him so I have to follow you mothers rules because she is the pants in the house."

"Really you like him? That's new news for me. Hey can I tell you something? " I say as I finish making my sandwich

"Sure anything. I'll keep my mouth shut."

"Never mind I don't want to tell you anymore. I'm going back to bed. I'll see you tomorrow morning" I start eating the sandwich I just made and walk up the steps.

My dad yells "Okay sleep well honey I'll see you in the morning. "

I sit down on my bed and continue eating my sandwich. Wondering and think how my dad likes Josh but my mom doesn't I wonder if she knows something I don't. Well I guess I'll find out eventually. I finish my sandwich and look at my alarm clock on my nightstand. It reads 8:30. So I have 5 hours and 30 minutes until josh is at my house. I lie down and pull my sheets over my head.
