"Your birthday is coming up soon" Christian said

His head was on my lap and I was playing with his hair. We were all watching movies. I've been living here for a month now. We never really got to see each other because our lives were so busy. Theirs? I don't know with what. So then I said Fridays and Saturdays were chill days. I stopped working on the weekends. I only worked Friday morning. So I was free for the rest of the day.

"My birthday isn't for another three months" I murmured still a bit bothered about tommy.

Ever since that confrontation outside the diner, tommy has been really scarce and if he was there he was quite distant. He was one of my real friends from the day one. So it kind of hurt that he was ignoring me. We never did the whole "catching up" thing.

For this past month I've been really, dare I say, happy!

Although I'm only comfortable around certain people. I'm happy.

I learned that Christian was only playful and what not when it came to me otherwise he was always serious. The mature one

Aaron or as I call him, prince charming, is the joker of the group. He's the goofy one

Tyler never smiles but he's really funny and sarcastic, he never tries to be, he just is.

And I am the quite shy girl. I doubt that will ever change. I still speak softly, and cower away from big crowds and men. Unless I know you, I'll freak out

I will admit that I have a crush on Christian, I would never tell him that though, save myself the embarrassment. Tyler and Aaron are more like my brothers.

I feel safe with them.

We were currently watching my favorite movie, Caroline. They hate it though.

It was 18:45. I had already done my shift in the morning. So I'd be free until Sunday. To chill with the boys

I looked at the caller id, it was Jason

"Jason hey" I spoke softly

"Hey honey, I'm sorry but I need your help"

"Yeah, what do you need?"

"Please cover my shift for me"

"Right now?" I said a little disappointed. Guess I spoke too soon.

"You're the only one I can trust, please"

He's done so much for you! You owe him a lot!

"Of course I can Jason, I'll be there at seven"

"I owe you a BIG one. Thank you so much" then he hung up

*sigh* "guys I have to go, Jason asked me to help him out at work."

"I'll give you a ride"

"Thanks Christian"

He didn't look too happy about that, none of them did.

"Thanks C" I said as he pulled into the parking lot of the diner

"You do realize only you will ever be allowed to call me that" I smiled a little at that

"I'll see you later C" I leaned over to give him a kiss on the cheek

And walked inside

"Bella! Oh my, you startled me a bit there, what are you doing here?" tommy asked

I looked down "Jason asked me to cover his shift for him "

He looked a bit disappointed.

"Look I know you've been avoiding me. I really don't know what I did but I'm truly sorry tommy. You're clearly disappointed to see me, so I'll be out of your hair now"

"No no no Bella wait. I-I I'm not disappointed to see you. I'm just disappointed you didn't come here... for me."

I was confused now

"Tommy what-"

"Why don't we have lunch tomorrow?"

"Sure" I smiled a bit

I gave him a hug and started to work

"You're wearing a dress"

Aaron said pointing out the obvious

I smiled a bit "yes Aaron I am"

"Why?" normally I would wear jeans when I went out or sweats at home.

"I feel like it"

"You going somewhere?"

"yeah , I'm having lunch with tommy" they had all gotten used to the fact that I'm soft spoken, so I didn't really have to repeat myself much

"Oh! Well that's nice, he decided he'd like to talk to you again! Isn't that just lovely" his accent seemed to peek out more when he was being sarcastic  or angry

I roll my eyes walking down stairs him following behind

"What's so lovely?" Christian asked stuffing his face with food

"I'm having lunch with tommy"

"What" Christian said staring at me blankly?

"Yeah so I'll need to take one of the cars"

"Here take mine "Aaron said fishing out the keys of his car from his pocket

"Thanks prince charming. See you guys later "

"Bye" Aaron said patting my head. Christian just grunted. I gave him a kiss on the cheek and whispered I his ear "stop being all grumpy"

Then I left
