After the awkward hello's with Dannys Brother i sat in the back of his huge truck while danny sat in front with him, telling him story's about her life in university and life in the city. I love watching her interact with others so easily. She's so charismatic.
We pull into the driveway of a HUGE house and Danny and Dylan jump out, and im right after them. Danny pulls down the hatch to the truck and i grab my little duffle bag while she closes the hatch back up and we make our way up to the house
"and who is this handsome young man?" i hear a women ask and i look up to see a Danielle look a like standing in the doorway
"Mom, this is Lucas. Lucas, this is My mom, Jackie" Danielle introduces
"Nice to meet you Lucas" she sticks out her hand, waiting for me to shake it
"The pleasure is all mine" i kiss her extended hand and smile as she laughs
"Well, Danielle you sure picked a charmer" Jackie says gently pulling her hand back as i release it
"Did she?" i hear a man's voice say behind me. I turn to see a man about 2 inches taller then me
"Dad, this is Lucas"
"Lucas, this is my dad George" I shake his hand while telling him it's nice to meet him
"Nice to meet you to Lucas" he says
"So, The lumber came about half an hour ago, so what do you say we eat dinner and then start on that tree house" her dad says.
What tree house? I didn't know they had a tree house. How random
"Tree house?" her brother asked, voicing my confusion
"Were going to re-build the tree house before Danielle goes home" her mother says, as she sets the round dining table
"She can't build a tree house in her condition" I shoot daggers at her brother and put my hand in front to my throat and pull it back and forth, trying to tell him to 'shut up'
But I was too late and the fighting began
After all of that, Danny eventually won, we had burgers and ceaser salad for dinner and now were headed out to the back yard.
Dylan and I are bringing out some lumber while Jackie and George are measuring some pieces and Danny is cutting some on a miter saw.
Danny's family is so close with each other. I've always wanted a family just like this, i can tell they all love and care for each other greatly.
Apparently i was deep in thought because next thing i know i'm being hit in the butt with a 2 x 4. I whip around to see Danielle walking away mischievously. I chase after her and she drops the 2 x 4 and runs for it
2 can play at that game. I run to catch up as she runs past her laughing parents and past the hot tub house, were chasing each other when i cut her off and tackle her little body to the ground
"You caught me" she whispers
"What do I win" i whisper back
She leans up and presses her soft plump lips against mine
