“What the hell do you mean that we can’t leave for another three days?! This is a joke right?” I couldn’t help but scream at my mother.

“This is no joke Perrie. I’m sorry that you will have to stay but no planes will fly out because of the snow storm that is coming in.” How can she be acting so calmly?

“Well then Jade and I will drive!” My throat was becoming raw from screaming. Jade ran her hand over my back trying to calm my down, but there was no way that that was helping.

“I’m sorry Pez, but I cannot let you guys drive in the upcoming weather. It’s not safe.” Outraged, I jumped up and knocked over the lamp on the table next to the couch. Jade’s mouth dropped at my sudden outbreak.

“Bullshit! And never ever call me Pez again!” I started for the stairs. “I need to get out of this town.” I mumbled under my breath when I finally made it to my room.

I flicked the bedroom light on to be greeted with the light purple walls of my childhood room. My feet took me to the bed covered in my favorite gray duvet with small purple flowers printed on it. If only I could go back to being younger. I lay back on my old bed and closed my eyes thinking of all of the memories that were made in this room. My eyes refused to open, knowing that tears would freely flow if I did. There was only one thing that I kept thinking about…
