Yoona's POV
"You'll do great in life, Yoona. I know it. I'll always be there for you, even though it won't feel like it at times. I love you."
Those were my mother's last words to me.
I watched as she closed her eyes for the last time, spoke her last word, breathe her last breath.
I tried my best to refrain from crying while she was alive, I didn't want her to see me so sad right before she passed. She looked happy though, that her pain was gonna come to an end.
I took another week off school. I'm probably super behind, but I can always catch up. I stayed with my dad, but then again, it soon was time for me to go back to school.
Yoona and Yuri were always by my side. It was hard. But with the support of my friends, it was a bit easier to bear the pain.
"You ready to do this, Yoong? I mean, after everything with your mom-"
"Don't worry, Yul. I think I'm ready for this now." I reassure her.
She gave me small smile and continued driving the car. I turned my head and looked out the window. It was turning into winter; no leaves on the trees, it was cold outside. It hasn't snowed yet, but I hope it will soon.
She pulls up in front a building we both know too well. She looks over at me one more time.
"Are you sure about this?"
I nod. "I think it's time."
"Okay. Good luck."
"Thanks, I think I'm going to need it," I said as I get out of the car.
I walk up to the building, slowly pulling open the door. I hear Yuri pulling away and I take a deep breath before entering the dorm. I stroll down the plain hallways, turning left once before stopping in front of a door.
What if he's not even home? And one of his roommates open the door instead? Is this really good idea?
I shook my head. I need to man up and just knock on the door. It shouldn't be this hard. I took a really long breath. I keep psyching myself out; this isn't hard at all. I just need to talk to him.
I shakily reached out my hand and lightly knocked on the door. I feared my knock wasn't heard, since I stood there a little while, but to my surprise, the door had opened.
"Yoona?"
"Uhm, hi." I said, feeling awkward.
"Hey, what's up?"
"I wanted to talk to you. Do you wanna hang out at that bubble tea place?" I asked, "if you're not busy, that is," I add.
"Oh, yeah sure. I'm not doing anything important. Let me just grab my phone and stuff," He replies.
I nod. He lets me into his dorm before disappearing behind a door. I glanced around. It wasn't much different than my dorm with Seohyun and Yuri, just more boyish I guess. I hear a door open and the sound of giggles. I look over and saw Kai with some girl. I grew mad. He looked startled to see me.
"Oh, Yoona. What are you doing here?" He questions, hiding the girl behind him. Psh, as if I didn't already see.
"You don't need to know," I replied back, bluntly. "You moved on quick."
"Uh, yeah..." He looks down, rubbing the back of his neck.
I rolled my eyes and turned away. I heard another door open and I assumed it was him this time.
