The next morning I was early to school and I guess I forgot to cover some marks because people are staring... Again.
"What happened?!?!" Madison yells in my ear.
"I fell down the stairs." I search for words and make it sound as believable as I can.
"Liar. I have known you long enough to tell when you lie." Damn, got to think of something quick!
"I am serious! I fell down the stairs!" Damn, I am stupid, but thats what I fought with.
"Whatever, I thought I was your best friend." Ouch, that hurt.
"You are! I fell down the stairs!" Now I sound like a broken record..
"No you didn't, you don't get burn marks from falling down the stairs!" Damn I thought I covered these....
"I was cooking and I burned myself!" Wow, cooking.... Sounded more believable in my, only because she doesn't know I cook.
"Ok then why can't I meet your parents? Why can't you tell me the truth!! Am I not your best friend? Am I not trustworthy?"
"I WILL TELL YOU WHEN I AM READY! You are my best friend. You are trustworthy. I am not ready. I am afraid you'll look at me differently!" I yelled loud enough for the whole school to hear.
"Minds, I won't look at you dofferntly. I am sorry. Take your time." She sounded sincere and I can't stay mad.
"Its fine, you'll know soon, I just need time. I'm sorry." Tears were threatening to come out. I wouldn't let them.
"You shouldn't be sorry. I should. I tried rushing you into telling me something you aren't ready to say yet." I have her a big hug and whispered "its Okay" the bell rang and we went on our way.
