Knock knock

Someone was at my bedroom door. It's prob Kevin!

"What!" I said annoyed

"It's time to wake up." MaryJo said coming into my room

"MaryJo I don't want to!" I whined

"Why do you still call me MaryJo. And not Mom?" She asked

"I don't know." I stated and I sat up in my bed. She looked sad.

"Sawyer already calls me mom. I've had you way longer than her and you haven't called me mom or Kevin dad once." She stated

"Well I'm sorry. I can't just call you mom or Kevin dad out of no where. I spent basically my whole fucking life with my real parents, I called them mom and dad. You and Kevin aren't my parents. You are my adoptive parents. Yes my real parents adopted me but they adopted me after I was born. You adopted me a few months ago." I said annoyed

"Ok well get dressed please." MaryJo said upset
She slammed my door.

I went into my bathroom and did my normal routine. My hair was down today. I wore black nike shorts and purple shirt. I went downstairs to the kitchen and i saw Kevin and MaryJo talking. Once they heard me they stopped and looked my way.

I just walked to the living room and I saw Drake and Marylin.
"Where is Arizona?" I asked them

"I think she's in her room." Drake stated

I went up to her room. I didn't bother knocking because I'm Jennifer. I can do whatever. Jk. But I actually didn't knock.

"Hey don't you ever knock!" Ari said

"Nope." I said laughing

"What's up?" She asked getting dressed

"Kevin and MaryJo seem upset about me not calling them Mom and Dad." I stated

"Well yea. I think they feel you should call them Mom and Dad because you've been with us for a while now and it's disrespectful to call your parents by their first name." Ari explained

"But they aren't my real parents." I said looking down

"Jen, do they feed you?" Ari asked

"Yea."

"Do they provide you with somewhere to sleep and have stuff of your own?"

"Yea."

"Do they show you love?"

"Yea sometimes, when they aren't spanking me." I stated

Ari giggled. "They spank you because they love you. All those things have to do with parenting. They may not be your real parents but they are your parents."

"I don't want to call them mom and dad though. And I know Kevin is gonna get pissed because I'm not going to." I stated

"Well you never know. You may start calling them mom and dad." Arizona said

"Yea ok. Bet." I said and I walked out of her room. I went back to the kitchen because I was hungry af.

I walked in there to see MaryJo and Kevin talking again and they stopped when I walked in.
"I'm just getting an apple." I stated with my hands up.

"Actually, we need to talk to you." Kevin said

"Ok. What's up?" I said

"We want you to start calling us Mom and Dad. It's di-"I cut Kevin off

"NO! I'm not calling you mom and dad! You aren't my real parents!" I yelled and walked out. I guess Arizona over heard because she stopped me from going upstairs.
