I'm running as fast as I can trying to get away from those....those....MONSTERS!! My legs are burning aching to stop. It seemed like I was running for hours when they were mere minutes. They shot me in one leg and the bullet must of been poisoned because I feel weaker by the second. I look behind me, I  see them catching up so I push myself harder holding back a scream from my injured leg. Next thing I knew I'm on the floor. I tripped over a dead log. I try to get up but it was no use the monsters were right in front of me I saw a hand come to my face but it becomes blurry and darker as I pass out.

"No!" I screamed sitting up in my bed. My face all sweaty. I take deep breathes trying to calm down. It was another nightmare, one I had before. I put my face in my hands as I lean forward getting my breathing back to normal. I looked at the time seeing me shift at the Pigs Den will be starting in a hour, not trusting to go back to sleep scared the dream will come back.

I pull my bed sheets off me as I walk to the bathroom and take a shower. As I'm in the shower I start to think about the dream, or the memory. I had it multiple times but I'm always shaken up about it. I'm shaken up about all my nightmares, all of them making me wake up screaming every morning. I step out of the shower and head back to my bedroom and open my tiny closet getting out my work clothes.

I put on my shoes when I was done getting ready, headed back to the bathroom. I put back the towel, I brushed my teeth, then my hair, putting on a little mascara, and then I'm done. Its the same routine I have everyday for the past months which will change when I get back in school. I grab my purse and keys and walk out of my apartment and headed for the stairs only to be stopped by my neighbor.

"Hello there pretty lady" He slurred. I role my eyes not surprised he was drunk. My neighbor Carl is a drunk. After his girlfriend he claimed to "love" left him he became a mess, always drinking not caring about the time of day and when ever he sees me he flirts.

"Hi Carl." I said crossing my arms seeing him in his boxers and in a robe with a can of beer in his hand. He was a hairy man.

"Hi" was his reply which made me raise an eyebrow remembering that he already said hi.

"You need to stop drinking Carl. Its bad for your liver and other things." I said like I was speaking with an elderly person who won't sit back down.

"Its not......like it will......kill ME." He slurred taking another gulp of his beer.

"It will at some point" I said shaking my head.

"There's no reason to LIVE" He said the last part louder. I shook my head again as I turn around and headed for the stairs to get to the bottom floor. There were 5 floors each floor with four apartments and I was on the third floor. I walk down 2 flights saying hello to my other neighbor's that were awake and headed for work. As I step outside there was a slight breeze. I headed for the bus stop because I didn't have a car and waited for my bus to arrive. I look down at my watch seeing I had 16 minutes till the bus will arrive I decided to take a smoke to calm my nerves. I take out a cigarette and a lighter. I light it up putting the lighter away and took a puff and letting it out.

'Smoking is bad for the lungs and other things' My wolf Twilight mocks.

'I'm a wolf, Twilight, it doesn't effect my lungs. And if it did I would heal' I said to her.

'Hypocrite' she said.

I ignore her as I take another puff and releasing it looking at the cloudy morning not seeing the bright sun or the light blue sky yet. I love this time of day especially when it rains. It was only 6 in the morning. I am a pretty good morning person it just depends what may have happen the day before. When the bus came my cigarette was mostly ash. I threw it on the floor and put it out with my foot. I stepped in the bus using my bus card to pay. I sit in the far back next to the window like usual and the bus takes off. I look out the window as the trees and buildings pass by in blurs. The bus stops a several times for people to get off and on the bus starts to get full. A few more stops and I'm at my destination. I thank the bus driver and get off and start walking to the Pigs Den.

I wish I had a car it would have been much easier and faster but I cant afford it. I walk into the bar seeing it wont open till 15 minutes. Most of the chairs were down and around the tables. There was 7 two chair tables around the room, but most by the walls and windows. Five 4 chair tables in the middle of the room. There was 11 spinning stools around the bar. There was 4 pool tables in the back of the room, which, was near the restrooms. The entry way to the back room and kitchen was near the bar too. All chairs were leather and mostly stools, besides the tables with the 4 chairs in which were regular wooden chairs. There were cool looking lamps on the ceiling and Christmas lights around the bar. There are pictures of employees above the bar or regulars having a good time.

"Oh good, Iris your here. Can you finish putting the chairs down and wiping down the counter tops." Sally asks, my boss and the owner of Pigs Den.

"Of course" I said getting the supplies to do so.

"Thanks" she said. I start working and finish as the doors open it only takes minutes till you hear motorcycles approaching. I smile when a club of them park there bikes and walk in and are greeted by me and Sally. That's what will happen everyday till school starts.
