Don't You Dare

Chapter Nineteen

I'm sitting in my kitchen with my cheap phone, that I haven't used in a long time, waiting for the school to call me. Two days have past by since I got kicked out and they still haven't told me any news. I started to get frustrated. I had a shift in one hour and all I did this morning was sit and look at my phone waiting for it to ring.

My kitchen was know all filled up with food and kitchen supplies. I even had breakfast this morning, a nice bowl of Fruity Pebbles. Carl has been visiting me more often and is trying to buy me a couch but I always tell him that I wouldn't let it come close to my apartment unless I buy it. My life has worsened and became better in ways that make me happy and frustrated.

My hour has passed and no phone call, so I headed out the door and to my job. Carl wasn't home, he was at his job too right now. I headed down the stairs with my phone in my hand and walked out the door. I got out a cigarette and lit it up.

'I miss Sky' My wolf whimpered.

'Who the fuck is Sky?' I asked so confused right now.

'Our mates wolf. Duh' she said as if its the most obvious thing.

'It is' she said

I rolled my eyes not even knowing how she could have any contact with him if we were barley with each other. I stopped at the bus stop waiting for it to come. When it did I put out my cig and got in, sitting at the very back.

I called Sally a few days ago telling her I could work all day for a while so I can make extra cash and do something. Becky and I gotten closer even though she was a vampire and that I hate vampires. They ruined my life. Just thinking of them makes me angry. But Becky's not like them. She answered a lot of my questions making me know her better and see that she wasn't bad.

The bus stops at my destination and I get out and walk to the Pigs Den. As I was walking I start to think about what I would do if the school wont let me back in. I won't have a high school diploma and I wouldn't be able to go to college, which leaves me to only be able to work jobs that don't require one. There are other schools but they don't have a werewolf principle to understand that you live on your own without any parents. Which stresses me out even more.

I walk into the bar and head straight for the back to put my things up.

"Hey there sweet heart" Sally said to me as she finishes talking to another employee.

"Hey" I said as I wrap my apron on me.

"Are you sure you want to take up more shifts?" She tells me as I finish up dressing.

"I have nothing better to do at the time and extra cash wont hurt. It wont be for a long time." I told her and she smiled

"Okay sweet heart. I'll leave you to it." She said and we both walk out of the kitchen and go to our jobs. I start wiping tables and Sally goes behind the bar. Are normal routines, rarely mixing it up.

"Hey there" Becky says to me as she begins her shift. I already worked a few hours and still haven't had the call from the school.

"Hey" I said grabbing dirty cups.

"What got you so down?" She asked as we walk back to put her order in and for me to put the dirty dishes away.

"I got suspended from school because I punched a  girl and I'm waiting for them to call me and tell me either that can come back or if I'm kicked out for good" I told her frustrated. She knew that I was still in high school and she doesn't care.

"Oh. That's bad. Should I go talk to them and act like I'm you older sister or aunt?" She asked hopefully. We walk back out. I laughed at her offer.

"I wish that would work but the principle is a werewolf and knows I don't have any family" I said and started picking up more dirty dishes. She pouted and I laughed again.

"You really wanted to do that, huh?" I said and she nodded and we both laughed. The rest of the day we did our jobs with small talk now and then, me asking questions about her boyfriend and her just about me, nothing too personal thankfully.

"Can you lock up?" Sally asks me as she was ready to leave and I was still cleaning. It was the end of the day and just Sally and I were left.

"Sure" I said and she tossed the keys to me.

"Thanks" and she was out the door as I finish putting up the chairs. I hum as I finish and get my stuff. I walk out the door and stat walking to the bus stop. I heard leaves rustling in the woods. I looked and saw a wolf jumped out and run towards me. I was confused at first with why it was running till I saw rouges running right after it. They ran right pass me and entered the woods on the other side.

It happened pretty fast so I was confused at first but remembered that there was one wolf running from 5 rouges. And the other things that I hate are rouges, well at least the bad ones. I dropped my bag and started undressing. I threw my clothes on my bag. I took a deep breath and shifted. I ran in the direction they ran and hope I can catch up in time. I run faster and saw the group running. I ran faster catching up to them. When I was near the running rouges I circled around them and ran next to the wolf that was running from them. It looked at me at the corner of their eyes and I winked. It looked confused till I turned around and attacked one of the rouges killing it instantly. All of them stopped and turned toward me. There eyes blood shot red and their snarling teeth snapping at me. They inched closer as I stay in front of the dead rouge growling challenging them to attack and they did.

I jumped out the way and attacked one from the back making it yelp and fling me off. I slid on the dirt stopping and they turned and started circling. I smiled in my wolf form.

'You ready?' I asked Twilight

'This is what I'm here for' she said

Then I let her lose, letting her take control.
