"So does this place have any lights?" I asked Arthur as I walk cluelessly around, it was still pitch black.
"In a sec. I need to find the switch" Arthur says and I heard his foot steps close behind me.
"You know for a wolf, I would expect you to be able to see through the dark" He said and he was right, but lately I've turned that stuff off. I'm trying to control myself better so by turning off my heightened senses I can be more...normal.
The lights finally turn on and my eyes must have looked like golf balls. The place was magnificent. Only three walls were made of wood as the last one was the largest, longest and there was a black curtain on it. Each wall had one or two doors. But what surprised me was what was in the middle of the room.
It had to be part of the tree, huge tree branches were around and they had lights wrapped around them it was beautiful. And on the ceiling the branches crawled all over it like veins it was amazing.
I looked over to Arthur and he smiled and nodded.
"Amazing, right?" He said crossing his arms over his chest.
It was more than amazing, I just can't find the right words to describe it. I then saw Arthur walk over to the wall with the black curtain and he flipped another switch and it started to open. It wasn't another blank brown wall but a huge window into the woods.
I can just faint right now. This place seems to get better and better around every corner, and this place seems to be big enough to have many corners.
"Geez. How much money do you guys have? Because this isn't natural" I said looking at him shocked. He chuckled coming over to me and he put his hands on my arms.
"You need a break Iris. This is the perfect place for you to relax and become stress free. " He said and I leaned my head on his chest closing my eyes. I didn't seem to deserve him, he was so good to me, well he is now. I'm already falling in love with him.
"Thanks. Then what should we do first?" I asked him
"Hmmm...we can look around more. You can see all the rooms" He said and I stepped away from him and nodded. We then walk over to the first door and walked inside and of course for me to be amazed.
"I'm surprise that I didn't faint at all" I said to Arthur as we leave the huge tree house. We spent a few hours up there just exploring and hanging out.
"You were close when you saw the Jacuzzi" He said as he puts an arm over my shoulders.
"Who has a fucking Jacuzzi in a tree house!?" I said looking up at him and he just smiled.
"I guess...me" He said and I laughed. The past few hours were the best so far for today and I just tried to let it soak in and stay there till something or someone comes along and ruins it. I then feel Arthur's arm go lower on my back then in a swift movement he grabs my legs with his other arm and holds me bridal style. I let out a little yelp in surprise.
We start to laugh as he continues to walk to the direction to his house. I look up at him as he looks forward. He looks down at me and smiles. I lean my face closer to his and give him a peck on the lips and smiled against his lips. We stopped and I realized we were here. The house was lit up all over. Arthur set me down and grabbed my hand. He kissed my head and we head for the back entrance.
When we went in we were in the kitchen where Arthur's mother and another guy were talking sipping on wine. I let Arthur's hand go not risking his mom seeing us holding hands. She turned and smiled at Arthur then frowned when she saw me.
