I kick the mossy ground unsteadily as I follow my two companions through the wilderness of the forest. We've passed fast flowing rivers, grand fur trees, long stretching fields, but surprisingly no Pokémon. The whole journey so far has been pretty disappointing considering the fact that I expected so many Pokémon, but I guess catching them  is harder than I thought. We rested a couple hours in a small cavern which smelt strongly of salt. I didn't sleep to be honest, my mind was being washed with memories of home and my parents.

I look over at Maya and Red, who're I front of me, sniggering and cackling every so often. Some times Maya will give me temperamental glances and then whisper
something erratic about me in Reds ear which has been putting me of. It's the same with her stupid Snivy in her stupid arms. Every time I edge closer than five feet Snivy  glowers at me, and if ignore her warning look she'll make an ear wrenching screech which basically turns the alarm on for Maya to give me the black look.

Pikachu hasn't been much help either. Every time I turn to look at him we both end up fighting and me getting a painful volt through my bones. I quickly peek over my shoulder at Pikachu who is slumping fitfully after me with his body slanting to the right, ears and tail drooping and a big impulsive frown on his arrogant little face.

"Pika pi" he groans moodily . I roll my eyes at his wrathful behaviour and focus back to my steps. I pause at the edge of a bramble thicket as I hear a rustle.

"Maya, Red. I think I found a Pokémon!" I try and yell as quietly as possible, trying to not scare the Pokémon away, but Maya and Red don't give a single glance towards my way. I sigh in frustration and turn to Pikachu.

"Hey bratty, come help me out for once" I hiss through clenched teeth.

"Chu" he protests and folds his stubby arms. I shoot him a solid glare but suddenly something from the thicket shoots back at me and knocks me over onto my back. I shake my head fretfully and try and get up but there's a heavy weight on my chest. I open my eyes and see the cutest Pokémon ever. It has two big pink ears and and a long wiry tale with a pink ball attached to it that has yellow things sprouting upwards.

"Skitty skit" it squeaks. It jumps up and down on my chest with its small paws and flicks its tail on my nose making me giggle as the soft pink fur tickles my skin.

"Awe you're a cutie ain't ya" I giggle softly. The Pokémon licks my face with its small pink tongue and spins around in a quick circle, appreciating my compliment. It stops for a moment and stands dead still. It waggles its tail slowly, it's eyes slide over to its moving tail and immediately pounces on it with an affront grunt and starts chafing its silky paws on its tail. When its too busy gnawing on its own tail, I slip my Pokédex out and point it at the Pokémon.

"Skitty is a Normal type Pokémon. It is known as the Kitten Pokémon."

The Skitty freezes as it hears the digital voice and lowers its haunches meekly. I stretch my hand out and rub its ear gently. Skitty lets out a heartfelt purr and curls up into a small ball on my chest, I can feel its tiny heartbeat, beating in a steady rhythm. I feel something tug my bag behind, Pikachu comes over to me with a Pokéball clenched in its jaw. He drops it beside me and points to Skitty with his tail. I nod, accepting his suggestion and pick the ball up in my hand. Before I throw it, Pikachu whips his tail and smacks Skitty's head, sending volts through its tiny body. I gasp as the small creatures limbs spasm and its body drops into a motionless position.

"Pikachu what the heck!" I curse infuriatingly at him.

"Pika! Pi!" He snaps back and smacks my head with his tail giving me a softer shock.
