The Beautiful Merwitch - Chapter 7

Sugawara had never dared to go near the Indian Ocean, as he had been told of tails of the mer-witches and how cruel they could be. Yet here he was, with Yamaguchi, swimming into the den of one of these creatures. The journey there was rather long. Wanting to avoid humans at all cost they went through the South Pacific and around a large island known as Australia. Using some blue whales as a means for transport during their swim, they managed to avoid any predators they might have come across, sharks being a main one. But once they were there, Sugawara had to admit, it was rather beautiful. Even if it was a little humid compared to his home, it was well worth the slight flushes her experienced.

"This mer-witch has been part of our tribe for almost three hundred years, that's longer than any of our elders."

Yamaguchi seemed calm, as if he was just seeing an old friend again, which Sugawara supposed he was already acquainted with the mer-witch. This made him relax a bit, but he was still nervous. Would she even offer help to someone outside of their tribe? He did not know of the culture of the merpeople from the Indian Ocean.

"Will ... she help? Me I mean, I'm not a tribes' member."

Sugawara watched as Yamaguchi stopped and got a thoughtful look, before nodding, taking Sugawara's hand and zooming deeper into the cave. As went further, it dawned on Sugawara that this could work, and that he would be able to see Kageyama again. The thought filled him with determination and hope, he wanted to become human, to be with his beloved and to be happy.

"Alright! Let's go~!"

As his vision became faded, he and Yamaguchi stopped, suddenly being blinded by a purple glow coming from the edge of the cave. There, sat a beautiful young woman, with locks of ivory. Her eyes glowed purple, matching her long jagged tail which swayed gracefully as she sat. The mer-witch gave them a warm smile, gesturing for them to come closer. With this indication, Yamaguchi and Sugawara approached slowly, now floating in front of her in awe. She was even more beautiful up close, with a pointed chin and lips as curved as her hips.

"I know what you have come for, and I am here to tell you, I can offer you that desire."

She paused slightly, altering her position so she was leaning her chin in her palm.

"However, this desire comes at a price and I am wondering if either of you are willing to pay ...?"

Looking between each other and then back at the witch, Yamaguchi and Sugawara smiled widely, looking hopeful and ready to pay whatever price there was to being human, and joining their loves on the surface world.

"Yes, we are!"
