With his sight gone and bottle in hand, he and Yamaguchi travelled back to the shores of Japan. It was a rather frustrating journey, without a voice to communicate, and no sight to see any gestures, Yamaguchi was left to do most of the work. Once there however they pulled themselves onto the beach where Tsukishima and Kageyama had released them. It was there that they drank the potion, saying a final goodbye to their legs.

Kageyama and Tsukishima would often wonder the same beach, wondering if their loves would return. Tsukishima was a little more hopeful, as he had already spoken to Yamaguchi about this, but he was unsure of when his little merman would return. On the same day that Sugawara and Yamaguchi had sipped their potions, the pair of boys happened to be wondering across that beach again. The shock on their faces as they saw their beloveds, laying naked on the beach, almost took their breaths away.

"Suga!!!"

"Yama!!!"

With the sound of their names, they sat up and gushed at the boys as they ran over, stumbling on sand every now and then. Though unable to see them, Sugawara could hear as Kageyama cursed whenever he fell. The two boys almost dove into the arms of the mermen turned human, showering them in affections they did not expect.

"Kageyama! I'm so sorry we took so long ... "

"Wait ... Suga, whats wrong with your eyes?"

Sugawara gave Kageyama a sad smile and wrapped his arms around the boy's neck, hugging him close.

"I traded my sight for legs ... but that doesn't matter, not when I have you to guide me."

Kageyama was shocked no doubt, but his loss of sight meant nothing now that they could be together. And Sugawara was right, Kageyama would guide anywhere he asked him. Carefully lifting them, the two boys carried their beloveds off the shore and home. It was there that Sugawara was able to retell what they had done to get their legs. It reminded Kageyama much of the little mermaid, only that Sugawara would be forever blind and Yamaguchi forever mute. And that a simple kiss from him and Tsukishima wouldn't reserve anything, even if he wished it. This didn't bother him, and he could tell it did not bother Tsukishima either.

"Me and Yama had already planned it ... I'm surprised Sugawara went to all that trouble for you."

Tsukishima smirked a bit as Yamaguchi swatted at him, telling him off with a stern gaze. The blonde boy merely laughed and held Yamaguchi close in his lap. The two boys had dressed their beloveds and set them up in a spare room at Tsukishima's house, wanting to never part from them again.

"I thought I'd never see you again ..."

"Me either ... then again, I can't really see you ..."

"He was never that good looking anyway"

Yamaguchi swatted Tsukishima again and dragged the blonde boy out of the room, leaving Kageyama and Sugawara alone. With a soft smile, Sugawara leaned over and pressed his lips to Kageyamas. He noticed that they still taste like salt, but it didn't matter to him. That would change in no time, and he knew soon that nothing would matter to him as long as he had Sugawara.
