Someone got the Pokemon Go community a little agitated yesterday after claiming to have caught a rare Mew Pokemon.

Corey Selby said he was hanging out in his room in the small town of Nuevo, in Riverside County, California, playing Pokemon GO when the Mew suddenly appeared before him.
The 19-year-old said he’d used incense to attract Pokemon to his room and was shocked when the rare mystic Pokemon pitched up.
‘It was around around 11:40pm when it first appeared,’ he said. ‘Trust me, I’m just as amazed as to why it showed up. I guess I was just the one.’
He tweeted a picture of the Mew and a photo of his deck to prove he’d found it.
But it turned out Corey had been telling MEWTHS. (I'm not sorry.)
He found a picture of a Mew on the internet and Photoshopped it into his room and into his deck to make people think he’d caught it.
Corey has been playing the game ever since it was released in America earlier this month and has been playing it every day before and after work and on his days off – so it’s no wonder he felt like he should have found the dang Mew by now.
He’s not the only one either – fake findings have been tweeted all week… just imagine if they’d spent all that time they spent on Photoshop on the game instead. they might have found the REAL Mew.
