I hear my alarm go off. The annoying beep won't stop until I press the off button.

Then I can get back to sleep.

I sit up groggily and switch to a crawling position, so I can turn the damn clock off. My warm covers slip off of me exposing my bare legs and stomach.

"Gosh darn it," I whine. The blankets were not any help to the sticky humidity in my room. The heat wasn't a gift either. To try and keep cool, I only wear a sports bra and minion pajama pants to bed, but there isn't anything else I can do.

I slam down the button and drop back onto the comfy bed. My eyes refuse to get droopy and tired again, making it impossible for me to fall back asleep. I was having a good dream too!

I sit up on my knees, resting on my heels. I wrap my arms around my bare stomach, my arms and legs glistening with sweat. My hair sticks to my neck and my back, a really uncomfortable place for it to be. I hang my head, closing my eyes for one last attempt to fall asleep.

It doesn't work.

I open my eyes to see my bright green walls looking black. I look around, and see that I'm plunged in darkness. I quickly get off my bed and feel the wall by my door for a light switch. My hand sweeps over the wall, finally finds the light switch, and flick it on. I sigh with relief when the light comes on.

I must have accidentally dimmed the light of my alarm clock when aggressively turning it off. I'm usually okay with the darkness if I have a light source, but without a light source, I don't do too well.

I look at my bedraggled appearance in my full length mirror, wondering why I'm standing, staring at my sweaty mess of a body at 5:52 in the morning.

Then I realize. I slap my hand over my mouth and giddily jump up and down. It's finally here!!!

I slip on an old pajama shirt, put on my slippers, and walk down the hall to my parents room. Dad is already at work. The light in the their bathroom is on, so I skip into the bathroom where my mom is popping the zits on her forehead.

She looks at me like I'm a crazy hobo crashing into her master bath. I probably look like one with my hair sticking out in random directions and my eyes still glazed over with sleep.

That just makes it even better.

I rush downstairs to eat my breakfast before getting ready. The excitement of everything makes me feel less hungry than I usually do in the morning, so I just eat a bowl of cherries with yogurt.

I didn't fall asleep until before 12:30 really early this morning, the adrenaline in the excitement is rushing through me right now. But that will only last so long.

Let's just cross our fingers that I'll pass out AFTER lunch so I can at least eat my food first.

After breakfast, I go back upstairs.

I stare down at the pretty outfit I have planned and nod. Perfect. I slip off my pajamas and replace them with undergarments, a white cami, and my favorite pair of medium wash, skinny jeans. Before I do anything else, I turn on my favorite music. Taylor Swift.

Remember when I was singing on my way to Casey's and I killed that cat? Yep, I was singing one of my favorite songs.

Then I go back to the middle of my room and put on my new, green Hollister shirt. I slip on some navy blue flats and put on some jewelry to pair with the outfit, jewelry I never wear. Except for the red friendship bracelet I put on my wrist.
