The Unknown [COMPLETED] {Eric FF}

Fifty-Five

Morgan crawled in the air vent in the erudite research lab, she did so very slowly, being careful of not making to much sound and attract attention to herself. She counted in her head to 40 as she moved forwards, and as she reached the number she saw the railing of the vent, just like the guys had told her. She then waited for 60 seconds, lifted the air vent railing and drew her gun, she inhaled and counted to 10. When she reached the number two guards apeared in front of her and she shot at them, leaving them unconscious on the floor.

They would wake up in a few hours and not remember a thing that had transpired in their lives in the previous two hours. The guys had thought the plan thick and trough, the cameras near the research facility had been intervened by Dominic, none of her actions were lethal, it was just a sneak in and out. She turned down one of the designated corridors and counted her steps as she walked.

When she reached 16 steps she encountered a door labeled "Files" she punched the code that had been given to her and the door opened. Once inside she let go of her gun in the little desk in front of her, on top of he desk was a little computer, some random files that needed to be uploaded and a little lamp.

She undid her jacket and straightened a blue dress on top of her pants. She then undid the pants and piled the two items, she was hoping no one would pay attention to an Erudite with a blue dress and kombat boots, but she just had to pray that the little distraction the guys had planed, and that was going to take place in exactly 6 minutes, was enough to make her be invisible as she sneaked past everyone in the erudite quarter.

She sat at the computer and it took her three minutes to locate the file that she was looking for. It was labeled "Unofficial" wich meant that something was wrong with the formula and Erudite didn't wanted to release an unfinished product, or the most likely option was that they had finished it but they were so self centered that didn't wanted to share it, seeing that in dauntless everyone got fatally injured at least 10 times in their lifetime it would be a waste of time and resources just to keep up the demand.

She scanned the files until she reached one that was labeled "Dauntless subject 01" she opened it to find it full of data about her. From her name to her blood type, to even the scanals of her broken ribs and arms from back in the inciation. She searched from some info about the formula that had been used on her.

When she found a series of numbers in the file indicating the formula of the serum she ran another search in the "Unnofficial" file. She found out that the serum had been modified 4 times after the version she had tried, she grabbed a pen and wrote on her tigh the info about the components of the serum. She glanced at her watch, she had 30 seconds to finish. She scrambled rapidly the numbers and abbreviations of the components and glanced at the screen.

She had it. Just as she closed the programs and made sure everything was spotless she heard the alarm. She took her clothes and exited, before she came into contact with any other Erudites she tossed the clothing in a garbage bin and crossed the doors that led her to the main hall of the Erudite quarter. She was pushed as the people were led out of the biulding. The alarm was the one that turnes on quite regularly, usually when in class some kid mixed two chemicals that where never meant to be together and, in the case of being inhaled or touched, it could cause serious medical issues.

So the day was cut short for everyone and the designated cleaning teams were left  scratchings their heads looking for the mess.

Soon enough Morgan was walking down the street of her old neighborhood, she walked fast, not wanting to loose any more time. She felt hopeful about the serum, it had been upgraded, it would heal Eric.

She pushed the door of her old house open, not even bothering to knock and closed it with a slam. The house was quiet, her parents weren't home yet. That gave her more time to write the serum's formula in her thigh in a piece of paper, and ready herself to face her mom and dad. She hadn't seen them ever since she had screamed at her dad that she was gonna kill him. If anything she didn't wanted to see them ever again.
