Caught off guard

Erza P.O.V

It's early morning. The alarm rang waking me up. I look at outside the window to my right hearing the birds chipper smiling for myself. ''Why am I on such a good mood today?''

I get out of bed and make breakfast as I start humming. ''Maybe It's because It's my birthday.Today is going to be a great day~ I can feel it!''  I thought to myself as I eat my cereal. After eating I put on my school uniform and open the door but as I opened it I hear the door beside me open as well. Looking to the side I see Jellal looking at me surprised but cracks one of his dumb smirks at me as he closes the door. 

''Huh, are you stalking me?'' I asked huffing at him as I closed the door and locked it. 

''Says the one who left me food yesterday, didn't know you were so caring Erzyy~'' he teasingly answered back. ''Good morning, it was delicious'' he continued smiling. I blushed a little looking down grumpy and just started walking towards school without looking at him. 

''Hey wait for me!'' He followed as he lay his arm around my neck ''So you were in a good mood earlier, what was that about? It was scary seeing you like that'' He said jokingly.  I casually brushed his arm off walking even faster. ''Non of your business, Fernandez.'' He walks faster trying to match up my pace but I start running when I saw Levy in front of the gate. 

''Levyyyyy, wait for meeeee.'' I waved. She turned her head smiling then looked frightened. 

''WHY IS HE CHASING YOU?'' 

''IDK HE'S BEEN STALKING ME SINCE MORNING!!!'' I shouted back

''WE ARE NEIGHBORS ERZA PLEASE!'' Jellal stopped when he reached the gates with his hands on his knees trying to not fall down gasping for air. Gajeel then shows up and pats his.

''Are ya alright there buddy gehehe.'' 

Jellal reached Gajeel looking for support but Gajeel moved and catched up to us while we were walking to class. 

''Hey shorty.'' He chuckled looking at Levy. ''I'M NOT SHORT!.'' She responded grabbing my hand and started running to class. We all enter the classroom and it was busy as ever. Everyone talking to the other and no teacher in sight. I walked towards my seat and sat down. When Jellal sat down behind me the entire gang of girl swarmed around him as usual. Levy put her bag on her desk and stood in front of my desk. ''ERZY ITS YOUR BIRTHDAY RIGHT?'' 

Startled as I was I put my hands on her mouth muting her. ''Shhhhhhh, I dont want people to know. Not that they care or anything I just don't want them to know... BY THE WAY HOW DID YOU FIND OUT?''

''Name list, it tells your name and date of birth. Why didn't you tell me?'' she frowned

''Because.. I don't like celebrating my birthday.'' ''Its your birthday?!'' a voice was heard from behind. ''damnit it's been exposed.''  He stood up slamming the desk ''Why didn't you tell me?'' I turn around.

''Was I obligated to tell you?''

''Yes! I thought we were friends.'' I huffed at him turning around crossing my legs and arms.

''Omgash unacceptable Jellal-sama! Why do you care of such a person? She's just a waste of person. Like I don't even know how she got accepted to such a school considering she looking like that hah.'' One of his fangirl commented. I turned around glaring at first then the glare turned into a smile. 

''Was that suppose to hurt my feelings?''

''Yes hahaha.''

''The only thing hurting my feelings right now is looking at that face hahah.'' I tuned around hearing everyone gasping and starting to whisper. Jellal starts laughing thinking everything is amusing and Levy joins in as well. ''Where is the teacher anyways?'' I mumbled as a substitute teacher came in.

''I'll be your sub teach for today because your teacher has called in sick for today.'' And the lesson started. 

After school

The bell rang and I stood up, picked my bag and about to exit the door as I got stopped by Levy. She handed me a key chain. 

''What is this?''

''A key chain'' she answered as she picked her phone up and shook it. ''We'll have matching key chains like a couple hihihi.'' 

''This is a little...thanks Levy I guess.'' Bowing down showing my gratitude. ''See you tomorrow.'' Walking down the hall trying to get past all the busy students trying to get home at the same time. ''I can't wait to just go home and veg out and maybe just order a pizza.''  I thought for myself as I got out of the building. I look up and it was a but windy, the sky was orange and few clouds in sight. I walked and was about to exit the gates when I felt a tap behind me. I turned around and it was Jellal. He took my hand and pulled me to the closest playground and sat me down on the swings. ''Wait here, don't move an inch. If you do I'll kick your ass. Ok?''

''...Ok?'' completely confused on what was happening but I just went with it. 

Half an hour has passed and no sign of Jellal anywhere. ''Is he crazy? Why hasn't he showed up. Is this a prank? Am I crazy? Why did I even agree to this.'' Impatiently I stood up and was about to leave but saw a little Jellal from afar getting closer and closer. I  swing my bag over my shoulder and he finally stood in front of me panting gasping for air. 

''I've been running too much because of you.'' He commented

''Why did you tell me to wait for you? So we could go home together? You know you could've just asked or somethin-'' I get interrupted as he picked something out of his pocket and puts his arm around my neck. I got flustered and blushed the shade of my hair. ''E-Ehhh??'' He takes a step back looking at my neck and nods ''Perfect, I knew it would suit you.'' he said smiling. I look down and I see a necklace handing on my neck shaped as a moon. ''W-What?'' I asked in confusion. 

''Happy birthday, Erza'' He smiled but had a fast change of expression into shock. I felt my ears getting warmer and my heart beat racing by the second. 

''A-Are you blushing?'' he asked in fascination coming closer to my face. 

''N-NO!'' I said trying to avoid looking directly at him. He then grabbed my face lifting my face up. He had this gentle smile while looking at me making my face even redder and my heart beat faster. ''I think you are... Didn't know Erza could make these faces as well.'' he smirked. Too shocked to do anything and answer he slowly leaned towards me. ''You... You are only allowed to make such face when it comes to me, ok?'' It felt like everything around me went in slow motion; the cars the leaves falling from the trees; the swing swinging; sounds; people and him. I watched him as he got closer..

and closer...

and closer..

before I came to my senses and kicked him between his legs and started running for my life. I then stopped turned back as I see Jellal on his knees holding his crotch screaming in pain. I walk towards him and stares at him for a while.

''What do you want? Kill me?'' He said angrily looking up at me. I bend down and kiss him on his forehead. ''T-Thanks for the present...stupid.'' He looked surprised and just answered with a ''Mmm'' I ran home after, closed the door and slid down the door holding one hand on my fast beating heart. 

''What...What is this feeling?''

I felt bad for not uploading for like idk a year so I was like why not just upload now and so I did.
