[Bay Window]

The window was opened so Zay climbed in and saw Riley laying in bed.

"Riley..."

Riley turned her head to the window. "Zay, what are you doing here?"

"I came here to check on you! What's going on? You never skip school; that's a Maya, Zay, and Callie thing!" Zay said while laughing. Riley sat up with a confused look on her face.

"Callie? Callie skips school? She breaks rules?" Riley said taken back.

Zay chuckled. "That's the least of it. Think of her as the Texan version of Maya except a lot worse; or better, which ever way you wanna look at it."

Riley crawled back under the covers the second she heard Maya's name.

"No, no, no!" Zay pulled the covers off of Riley. "You're not sick..." Zay grabbed Riley's wrists and pulled her up in sitting position. "What's wrong? Why aren't you at school? Maya's looking for you, and I'm sure Lucas really wants to kiss his girlfriend..." Riley clenched her jaw and Zay noticed. "Woah, Riley are you okay?" Riley's eyes were already clouded with tears and once Zay asked if she was okay she couldn't stop sobbing. Zay wrapped his arm around her shoulder and just let Riley cry on him.

"Maya and Lucas kissed..." Riley finally admitted. Zay's eyes widened from the shock; he knew they were having trouble with their feelings but he thought Lucas has figured it out after his plan.

"He- Luca- Ma- they kissed? When? Where? How?" Zay asked trying to not scream.

"Yes. Yesterday at Lunch, under the bleachers, and as for the how, I think you already know how kissing works..." Riley responded while sniffling. Zay held her tighter.

"Riley, I am so sorry!" Zay rested his head on her's.

Riley snuggled into his hold. "It's not your fault, I'm just not up to seeing Maya. It hurts a lot, not just because of her and Lucas kissing but because she lied to me! She lied to me about them kissing, and she lied to me about being over Lucas! It just really hurts!" Riley cried for a little while longer until a realization crossed her mind. She distanced herself from Zay for a brief second to get out of his hold. "You and I don't talk very much... Why?"

Zay shrugged. "I don't know..."

"Well we should talk more often; I like it." Riley chuckled and Zay wiped the tears from her cheek. They looked into each other's eyes and started to lean in and then the door opened.

"Riley sweetie who are you- oh hi Zay." Topanga said. "What are you doing here?" Topanga asked with her arms crossed.

"I came to check on Riley; she never misses school." Zay replied while standing up and distancing himself from Riley.

"Well she said she didn't feel well so I sent her back to bed." Topanga smiled. "But since she is feeling sick you should go. Plus you're missing school. You can come by after if you'd like..."

Zay smiled. "Thank you Mrs. Matthews."

Topanga smiled and left as she closed the door behind her. Zay started walking towards the window when Riley stopped him.

She grabbed his wrist and turned him towards her. "Can you come back later? I like talking to you... I really want to continue talking to you about whatever!"

Zay smiled. "Of course. I'll bring some soup even though I know you're not sick." Zay kissed her cheek and went out the window. Riley started blushing and crawled back under the covers; she had a lot to think about.
