Albus POV

I looked though the window in the Slytherin common room while the sun set. It turned to a magnificent orange and red, then faded into darkness. Scorpius had fallen asleep, but I sat by his bed (which had a clear view of the window). I held his hand while he fell asleep, tracing patterns in his knuckles.
The room was dark and I slowly released Scorpius's hand as not to wake him. I pulled out the invisibility cloak I had stole from my brother, James and draped it over me. I creeped across the room, pulling my night gown under my cloak tighter over me and shivering- the dormitory was in the dungeon and very drafty and cold. I tiptoed to the door and opened it, walking out through the common room and through the doors leading out of it.
I was planning something amazing for Scorpius. Tomorrow was his birthday, and I was going to surprise him with something I'd been working on for a while. I grabbed a lantern off the wall and made my way through the corridor. I dodged ghosts and I weaved through the castle, up many flights of stairs and hallways until I reached just below Gryffindor tower. There was a spare room hidden behind a thick tapestry nobody every came near. I peel back the tapestry and climb into the room. I had already set up, I just needed to finish a few things.
Candles floated in the air around the room, and fairy lights were strewn to the walls. I had set up a mattress on the floor with soft pillows and fluffy blankets. I had also bribed the house elves in the kitchen to make Scorpius's favorite food and that was arranged on a small table in the back. Across the walls were pictures of me and Scorpius from over the years and hearts made of small woven roses. It smelled of flowers in the room and just had a good aura all together. I couldn't wait until Scorpius saw.

           The next morning, I woke Scorpius up by jumping on his bed with mighty force. I jumped up and down shaking him and yelling "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" so practically the whole common room woke up. He blinked his eyes away and sat up in bed, looking grumpy. I straddled him and gave him a small kiss on the nose.
           "Morning love." I smiled leaning back. He blinked sleep out of his eyes and then looked at me and his face glowed. His light hair was messy but oh it was so cute. He ran his hand through it and I shuddered a bit.
        "Morning to you too." He said in a raspy voice. Then he suddenly shot up, grabbing my hips in the process.
        "Wait what time is it?? Did I miss breakfast?!" He sounded very concerned about missing breakfast.
         "Yes." I say, Scorpius has a panicked face. "Don't worry I planned something amazing for you. You gotta get up though or it's gonna be cold" I smiled and peeled myself off the bed. I had already set out the food and gotten dressed.
       Scorpius stumbled out of bed and pulled on a robe. I grabbed his hand and he grinned with joy. My heart warmed. I led him through the common room and up the corridors. I rubbed circles on his knuckles and we made our way to the secret room.
        "Okay." I said, a little nervous, finally in front of the tapestry that hid the room. "I worked on it really hard. I hope you like it." And with that I pulled back the tapestry and pulled him into the room.
       He looked around at all the decorations I had put up. Boy, I gotta say it does look pretty good. He smiled at everything with a look of pure ecstasy. He turned and ran at me, embracing me in a hug and running his hand through the back of my hair.
        "I love it. I love it so much. Thank you, Albus. Really. This was made with love I can tell. I love you." He smiled again and then planted a hard kiss right on my lips. Then another. And soon we were just straight making out. My hands on his hips and up his back, his hands tangled in my hair.
Finally, we break away. Scorpius laughs a cute little laugh and says, "Can we eat now please? I'm starving."
