I wipe up the drops of scarlet red blood from my freshly cut skin with a soft tissue. I take some temporary stitches into my hant and place them over the deep cut. I clear up the mess I made and exit the bathroom, making my way to my bedroom. My phone vibrates on my desk. I walk over and unlock my phone to see a text message across the screen.
*Hey. How are you doing? -Chris*
I throw my phone at my wall amd curl up on my bed. Salty tear drops rolled down my cheeks. Last week he told me that he "just doesn't like me". After three weeks of texting back and forth. He said that he was sorry. Unfortunately sorry doesn't fix a broken heart. I cry in my room until I hear a car pull up out side. Mom's home. I run into the bathroom again and splash some cold water from the tap onto my puffy, red face.
"Are you coming down to the park? There's a festival down there for some reason and I thought I saw Claire's family down there." She said. I shake my head. "No thanks. I have to do some stuff." She nods her head. "Okay. I'll be back in a couple of hours." She leaves again and drives away leaving me home alone. Not completely alone. I'm here with my friends. My imaginary friends. The friends in my head.
