Tyler and his siblings had left around 8:45 as my dad would be home soon. my mother insisted on cleaning the house so he wouldn't know a thing, especially since the other day.
we cleaned and cleaned and waited for him to come home but, he didn't.
i left my mother in the living room and went upstairs to bed. I quickly checked my phone to see 5 snapchats from Tyler.
the first was of Madison waving to the camera, then a selfie, and then a blurred image of Tyler grabbing the phone and a quick apology.
I smiled and lay back on the pillow, falling asleep with my mind clear of thought.
