Day before tour

You and Nick were spending one last day together before he left for tour. He took you bowling and now he is taking you to dinner at his favourite restaurant. "So how are you enjoying today?" Nick asks with a hint of excitement. in voice hoping for a positive reaction. "Nick this has all been amazing. You truly know how to make me feel loved." You reply staring in his eyes. He reaches for you hand under the table and he holds it until your drinks arrive. The waitress asks for your orders and then goes back into the kitchen. "I have a surprise you after dinner." He says Every time he talks you have butterflies in your stomach. His voice is so angelic and his skin is so soft. Slowly, he leans over the table and kisses you passionately then pulls back. "So, whats my surprise?" You ask like a kid on Christmas Day. He smiles at you and takes a sip of his drink. "Wait and see." He replied. You hate those words but you love them at the same time. You smiled at him for a second, lost in the moment. Then your food arrives. You both eat very quickly and he offers to pay. As you stand up and grabs your coat for you and takes you out to his car and tells you to put a blindfold on. You do so. "Are you at least gonna tell me where we are going?" You ask nervously. He senses that you are scared so he places a hand on your back. "It wouldn't be a surprise then would it?" He replies teasing you. "This is not gonna be like one of those horror films where you take of the mask and there's some random guy with a knife and not my boyfriend is it?" You say almost laughing at what you just said. "Really? Do you honestly think I'm gonna do that to you -" he says, pauses to breath then continues, "we are here." He gets out the car and take your hand. "Can I take this blindfold of now?" You ask. "In a minute ok?" He replies, pulling you up a hill. "Right take off the blindfold!" He says excited and nervous at the same time. You do as he says and see a million little stars in the sky. "You said you liked astronomy so i brought you here plus you said that whenever your dad had to tell you something he'd bring you here." You remember how your father had told you when he took you up to see the stars that he was diagnosed with cancer and that he wasn't going to survive long. Just then, you feel tears swell up in your eyes and they fall down your face. Nick comes closer and wipes them away. "I'm gonna miss you on tour," he begins sitting down on a picnic blanket he laid down on the floor, "Like, I was wondering, did you wanna come on tour with me?" he says sounding really nervous but he managed to say it as calmly as he could. "Nick, I would love to but I can't because," you trail off. "Because what?" he replied, cutting you off sounding concerned.

"Because," you say, unable to speak or even move from nerves.

"Because," you feel like your repeating yourself which you are and you just breathe in and then out.

"Because, it would be inappropriate for your wife whose," you begin to say, your voice going high from shock that you can't believe this is gonna be how you tell him.

"Whats up? Is there something wrong? Or what?" He cuts you off looking frustrated also looking annoyingly cute as well.

"Because. I'm. Pregnant." You manage to say, breathing between each word.

He just sits there. Shocked. Amazed.

"Oh." He says after a few moments. Your face falls and you stand up to leave, walking back down the hill.

"Baby, wait, i happy come back." You hear him call after you. He runs after you and stands in front of you, seeing the tears rolls down your face.

"I can't wait for this baby to come." He says and pulls you in for a kiss and wipes away your tears before pulling you down the hill, into his car and back home.
