Dawn and Dicky opened the door and found their mom, Nicky and Ricky crying on the couch.
" Guys are you okay? " Dawn asked.
Anne looked up at Dawn.
" Come and sit here Dawn and Dicky, next to me. "
Dawn and Dicky go to sit with their Mom.
" Okay, your Father had came home and took squishy for a walk while I was still working at the store, Nicky and Ricky were here, Dawn was at practice and you were out with Babe. I turned on the tv to watch the news and it said that a shop owner of Get Sporty got ran over while he was walking his pet dog. So I closed the store and I ran straight to the hospital but I was too late, Squishy and your Dad are gone. " Anne said sobbing.
" What do you mean? Gone? " Dicky said with tears rolling down his cheeks. "
" UGH SHE MEANS DEAD DICKY! MAN, ARE YOU STUPID OR SOMETHING? " Dawn cries.
" Dawn! " Anne said.
Dicky was crying his eyes out and ran upstairs and locked himself in the bathroom.
" Listen Dawn, I know you're upset. We all are, but to take it out on Dicky was just wrong! " Ricky yelled.
" Yeah Dawn. Not cool! " Nicky said wiping his tears.
" You guys are right. I'll go apologise. "
Dawn walked upstairs and knocked on the bathroom door. " Dicky.... "
" Go away Dawn! " Dicky yelled crying.
" Look, I'm sorry for how I acted downstairs and I- "
" DAWN I MEAN IT GO AWAY I DO NOT WANT TO TALK TO YOU!! " Dicky screamed.
" Okay. " Dawn said crying.
Dawn went back downstairs to Ricky, Nicky and Anne.
Dicky was heartbroken. He decided to call Babe and tell her what happened.
He found her in his contact list and phoned her. A few seconds later Babe answered.
" Hey Dicky! " She said happily.
" Hi. " Dicky responded crying.
" Dicky are you okay?! What's wrong. "
" That's why I called you. I just found out my Dad and pet dog passed away. "
" Oh my gosh, I'm so so sorry Dicky. How?! "
" My dad took squishy for a walk but they both got hit by a car. They got rushed to hospital but didn't make it. " Dicky said sobbing.
" Aw Dicky! I'm coming over! "
" Babe it's fine, you don't need to. "
" No Dicky! You sound really upset I'm coming over to your house right now. See you soon. " Babe said ending the call.
Dicky unlocked the bathroom door and went to his bed and cried into his pillow.
" Mom! Mom! " Babe screamed running down the stairs.
" What's up Babe? "
" I need to go see Dicky. "
" You can't Babe. You made plans to go out with the Game Shakers Team. "
" Mom I need to cancel this is super important. Dicky just found out his Dad and pet dog died in a car accident and.. And. " Babe sat at the kitchen table and cried.
" Aw Babe, I'll call Kenzie and let her know. "
" Thanks Mom. " Babe said wiping her tears away. She hugged her Mom and headed upstairs to pack her bag.
Five minutes later, Babe came back downstairs and her Mom drove her to Dicky's.
A few moment later they arrived at Dicky's house and Babe ran to the door. Her Mom went with her and knocked on the door. Anne opened the door.
" Oh hello Babe. " Anne said wiping her tears.
" Listen, Dicky told me what happened and he sounded so upset over the phone, do you mind if I stay the night to make sure he's okay? "
" Aw that's fine sweetie. Thankyou. " Anne said hugging Babe.
Babe walked into the living room and hugged the three siblings of Dicky's.
" Thanks for letting her stay over. " Babe's Mom said.
" Anytime, Mrs Carano. "
" Feel free to call me Jenette. "
" Ah, okay Jenette, Um see you tomorrow morning? "
" Actually 3pm? Because that's Babe's dance competition. "
" Mom don't be silly I'm not going at a time like this. "
" Look Babe, I understand how upset you are, but you're the lead dancer and you can let Ms Gomez down. "
" Fine, I'll go dance, just bring my dance costume tomorrow when you pick me up. "
" Okay see you tomorrow. Love you. "
" Love you too Mom. " Babe said smiling.
Jenette closed the door behind her and drove off.
" I'll be in the kitchen guys if anyone needs me. " Anne said crying walking into the kitchen.
" So where's Dicky? " Babe asked sadly.
" Well Babe, you're boyfriend has been yelled at by Dawn so who knows... " Nicky says.
" Just to be clear Babe I did apologise to him, and don't be ridiculous Nicky I heard him unlock the bathroom door and walk into his room. "
Babe ran upstairs.
She ran into Dicky's room and saw Dicky about to do something he would terrible.
" Dicky no! " She yelled running to his bed.
" But what's the point in life anymore and stupid and worthless and nobody likes me! " He screamed putting a blade to his arm.
" Listen, You're loved by many and self harm isn't the right answer Dicky, please give it to me! " Babe said crying.
" No! " Dicky screamed.
" Babe rapidly moved to Dicky.
" No Babe stop! Don't take the blade! " Dicky said crying.
Thankfully, Babe managed to get it and threw it out of the Window.
Dicky put his hands over his face and cried.
Babe removed his hands from his face and put his arms around her waist. She hugged him and never let go. They hugged for several minutes crying.
" Aw Dicky, everything is going to be okay I promise. " She said looking him in the eye.
" I don't know what I'd do without you Babe. " Dicky said wiping away his tears, staring into her big brown eyes.
She kissed him on the forehead and they continued hugging. After a while, Dicky fell asleep on her shoulder. She laid him down, holding his hand and layed next to him.

Dawn, Nicky, Ricky and Anne busted into the room.
" What was with all the shouting?! " Anne said.
" Sh he's sleeping. And it was nothing he was just screaming because he was too upset. "
" Aw poor Dicky. " Nicky said.
" He must be so upset. " Ricky added.
" Well to be fair, he was the closest to Dad out of us kids. " Dawn said.
" Okay kids that's enough kids go to sleep. It's 10pm. "
" Mrs Harper would it be okay, if I slept here with Dicky. "
" Sure Babe. " Anne said.
" Okay I just want to go get pajamas. "
Babe stroked Dicky's head and climbed down the ladder and exited the room to find her bag.
" Babe I just want to say Thankyou for calming Dicky down. " Anne said.
" Yeah, he was really angry and upset. " Dawn said walking into her bedroom.
" You're welcome guys. I'm always here. " Babe said.
She hugged Dawn and Dawn closed her bedroom door and went to bed. She hugged Anne aswell and Anne headed for her bedroom.
Babe saw her bag outside Dicky's room and got her pajamas and got dressed in the bathroom. She saw a pencil sharpener with no blade inside on the bathroom floor. She knew it was Dicky's.
After she changed she headed back into Dicky's bedroom and Ricky and Nicky were fast asleep. She looked at Dicky's bed and as she did, Dicky sat up.
" What's going on? " Dicky whispered.
" Sh, nothing, I'm coming to sleep next to you Dicky. "
" Oh okay. " Dicky said smiling.
Babe went to Dicky's bed and laid beside him starting into his eyes.
" Thankyou for before. " He said kissing her lips softly.
She pulled him back and kissed him again, but for longer.
" You're welcome Dicky. "
He smiled and went to sleep. Babe turned the other way and looked around Dicky's bedroom.
Suddenly, she saw that there was another pencil sharpener with no blade! Did Dicky take another Blade? Or is somebody else self harming to?
She was so worried but tired at the same time.
She held both of Dicky's hands but there was no blade. She checked in his pants pockets but nothing there either. She checked his hoodie pockets but there was nothing there. She checked under his pillow and kicked her feet all under the blanket. There was nothing there. Maybe it wasn't Dicky. Although she was still worried Babe thought she'd have better luck looking for it in the morning, but she soon fell asleep.
Will Babe find the blade the next day before someone makes a mistake?
