I don't remember where I saw this, but I read a one-shot using this song with a similar 'plot' Just notifying in case anyone is enraged that I copied this or anything. All rights to whoever gave me the idea. Imagine any male Marvel person to be the guy. Oh and the song is Safe and Sound by Taylor Swift in case anyone was wondering.

He saw it all. He saw the rose-gold blood-covered blade go through your chest. He saw your shock.

He saw your pain.

Time seemed to stop. He flashed back.

First sight. First conversation. First training session. First date. First kiss. The ring sitting in his pocket. The ring he had yet to give you...

He ran towards you as you finished off the Hydra soldier that stabbed you.

"I'm sorry.' You whispered, dropping to your knees.

"Shhh... It's not your fault at all..." He hates the tears on your face. He hates the pain in your eyes.

He swallowed and started to sing.
