"What's your problem!" I yelled at Luke. He had just walked in when I was packing for my trip to Europe with Zinaida. She had called around to find out if any of Brandon's friends knew where he went. The search ended in succes as the last friend she called, Benton, told her he went to Spain all those years ago. After finding this out we started planning our trip to Spain, and we were leaving tomorrow.

"What's my problem?" He yelled, looking at me with a furious look in his eyes. I had never seen him like this. For a moment I got a bit scared. "My problem is that you happened to forget to mention you were going on a trip to who knows where, for who knows how long!" He turned around in his rage putting his hands in his hair. I knew he felt powerless in this situation, knowing he probably couldn't change my mind.

"Well what do you want me to do then? Cancel everything and stay here?" When he turned around he looked at me with hurt in his eyes. He didn't say a word but I knew he wanted me to stay.

Tears welled up in my eyes. He really wants me to stay and cancel everything. I looked at him with disbelieve in my eyes. "Luke.." He walked over to me, grabbed my hands and looked deep into my eyes. "Allison, please stay." I looked up at him and bit my lip. I couldn't, I need to find my brother. For a moment I opened my mouth but closed it right away. I looked away and moved a bit away from him, not knowing what to say.

"I see.." I felt bad, but I couldn't stay. He started to walk towards the door but then turned around and looked at me, his eyes filled with hurt. "Do you even want to be with me Allison?"

I looked at him not knowing what to say, yet again. He took my silence as an answer and nodded. "Well have fun in Europe!" he yelled while storming out of the apartment and slamming the door behind him. After he left I felt a tear roll down my eye and another one and other. Guess this was it then.

It felt like hours had passed by  when I heard a knock on my door. For a moment a spark of hope was ignited inside of me. Maybe Luke was back to make up and talk about it. I ran to the door and I immediately swung it open, my hope went away very fast when I saw Zinaida standing there. "Oh hi, come in." I said and took a step to the side so she could come in. "Well you are happy to see me." She said laughing while walking in. A fake smile formed on my face as I closed the door behind her. For a moment she looked at me and squinted her eyes.

"What's wrong?" she asked a bit worried. I sighed and looked down. "Me and Luke broke up." A look of complete surprise formed on her face. "Oh" she mouthed. Without saying a word she walked up to me and took me into her arms.

For a few moments I let all my emotions out. Zinaida lead me to the couch and we sat down together. I don't even know why I was crying so much, the last 6 months I had always felt like me and Luke didn't belong together. But now I realize I do love him. Zinaida comforted me and rubbed my back while I let all my emotions out.

When I was done crying I moved a bit away from Zinaida and looked at her thankfully. "Thank you." I whispered and wiped the left over tears from my cheeks. "Don't worry about it, that's what best friends are here for." Best friend, she was my best friend. This thought left a smile on my face. "But what happened?" the smile left my face just as quickly as it had come. "We had a huge fight about me going to find my brother." I explained. That explanation left a frown on Zinaida's face. "He doesn't want you to find your brother?" she asked, her voice filled with unbelief. I shrugged my shoulders. "I don't know, I think it's more about me being gone for so long." A small half smile formed on her face, she obviously didn't know what to tell me.

Instead of saying anything she opened her arms again to invite me for a hug. A thankful look formed on my face as I leaned in to hug her. "Try not to worry about it too much. Tomorrow we're leaving for Spain to find your brother, try focussing on that." She said softly. Maybe she was right, I was going to find my brother and get all the answers I needed from him. We sat there for a few minutes before Zinaida got the idea to order pizza and watch a movie, to try to relax.

Tomorrow was the start of an adventure.
