"So, what now?" I asked while looking out of the window. Zinaida and I arrived in Madrid an hour ago and immediately took a taxi to our hotel, where we were right now. The view from our hotel room was amazing. I turned around and saw her browsing some of the brochures she got at the front desk. "Zinaida!" I raised my voice and finally caught her attention. Looking at her I could tell she wasn't listening to a word I had said. A sigh left my body and I shook my head. What was I thinking coming to Spain to find my brother, this was never going to work.

Zinaida seemed to notice my sudden look of doubt. Before I knew it she stood in front of me with her hands on my shoulders. "Tonight we are going to go out for dinner and explore the town a bit." I frowned. "Zinaida, I'm not here to enjoy myself. I need to find my brother."  Without saying a word she lifted her hand and flicked my nose. "Hey! What was that good for?" I looked at her with a frown and touched my nose. "You young lady are going to enjoy yourself while finding your brother! You are not here just to find him, you are here to find you!" she went on for a while after that, but I didn't listen anymore. She was right, this trip wasn't just about finding Brandon, it was also about me and finding myself. Without thinking or letting her finish her rant, I pulled her close and hugged her tight.

That night we wandered around the city. Madrid really was an amazing city with lots of cultural background and the people were so friendly. The whole night was just wat I needed, a few hours of not thinking about why I was here.

"Okay, now it's time to do some research!" She said while and jumped on the bed with her laptop in hand. We had only just arrived back at our hotel room and she already had something else planned, this woman didn't know when to quite. And that's why I love her. For a moment thought, I looked at her with a confused look in my eye. "What do you mean?" She looked at me with a big smile. Still not knowing what was going on she pulled me onto the bed. Without saying anything she opened her laptop. Within a few minutes a document appeared on the screen with details about my brother his travel to Spain. With big eyes I stared at the screen. "I did a bit of research on your brother's travel back at home." she explained herself. "How did you find all these things out?" My voice was only a faint whisper but I knew she had heard me. "Well I just called around to his close friends and asked questions if someone knew where he went and where he stayed and stuff like that. Some gave me really helpful information and that's how I figured out which city he first went to and where he stayed." All I could do was stare at the screen, unable to say anything. This really took me by surprise. She didn't have to do all this, yet she did and she did this for me, to help me. "See" she pointed at a name of a hotel "this is where he stayed, at least that is was I think. We can go there tomorrow and ask if they can help us." Because of her work, her research I was one step closer to find Brandon.

"Can we just show up at that place and ask about people who stayed there in the past?" It was hard for me to believe that just anyone can go and ask about others. That's when for the first time I saw doubt in Zinaida's face. She wasn't sure if we could. "You don't know do you." Hope I had had these last few minutes disappeared instantly. "I don't. But it is worth the try isn't it." He looked at me. "I guess so." I was well aware that my voice was filled with doubt. "Allison, you are not going to overthink this and you especially are not going to focus on the negative." Here she was again giving me a lecture. I knew she was right though, I do focus to much on the negative side of things.
