Chapter Five: A New Beginning

((The year is still 3016))

For the rest of the day, I didn't talk to Fry or anybody really. "Hey, (Y/N) get in here!!! All my circuits is on!!!!" Fry shouted from the living room and I bit my lip down hard. "I-I'm kind of busy.........talking to Zoidberg!" I shouted the lame excuse at him and I sighed. Zoidberg just walked into the room with a confused look on his face. "I heard my name??? Oh (Y/N), what's with the long face?" I looked at him and let out yet another sigh.

"Zoidberg.......Can I tell you something? And you have to promise not to tell anyone!!!!! Or else I will throw you into a boiling pot of water and eat you!!!!" He gasped then clacked his claws. "Come come!!!! Dr. Zoidberg will help with your problems!!!!" We walked to his office were I sat down on his examination bed. "Umm.....you see, I have a crush on......." He leaned in close, wanting to know. "Yes, go on!" "I have a crush on.....Fry!" I blurted out, feeling my face heat up.

Zoidberg's eyes lit up with awe. "(Y/N), you must tell him!!! Or else it will be too late!!!" I put my chin in my hand, groaning. "Yeah.......but I'm nervous. It's because of that love potion thing that the professor made.....It's irritating me." I muttered, feeling a tad bit embarrassed. "What does the love potion have to do with anyth-------OH!!!! I get it now! You are afraid that you and Fry won't have a future together." I shook my head up and down , shyly. "Yes, it wasn't really a problem before. But until he made that, I just can't stop thinking about having a future with Fry!!!"

There was laughter coming from the door, making me turn around. Only to see Leela doubled over, laughing. "S-So that is why you have been awkward all day!?!?!? Because you have a crush on that goofball!?!?" She said in between laughs. But, she then calmed down when she saw you glaring at her. "LEELA!?!? HAVE YOU BEEN STANDING THERE THIS ENTIRE TIME!??!?!?!?"  I shouted at her, feeling my face heat up even more. She wiped away some tears then said, "No I wasn't. I just got here for the last part. I was just looking for you to ask what was wrong. But nope you just have a crush on Fry."

I rolled my eyes at her then crossed my arms. "Yeah, I do. So what?" I said, kinda angry at her. "Sooooo, just tell him already. I see the way he looks at you. Who needs that stupid love potion anyway? I think that you two will make a great couple." I was token aback by that. "Y-you really think so, Leela?" I asked, while fiddling with my fingers. She smiled. "Yes, you two are actually pretty perfect for each other. I would be surprised if that stupid love potion doesn't show you two having a future together."

I smiled at that then said, "Alright, then I'll tell Fry."  She gave me a thumbs up then said, "Well, I'm off to go on my date with Kevin. Tell me what happens next." And with that, she skipped away, filled with glee. "Thanks for your help too, Zoidberg. It really means a lot to me......" Zoidberg waved his claw like it was no big deal. "Ahh, anything for young love. Zoidberg remembers his early days when he was a frisky young lad!!!" He turned to look at you but you were already out of his office.

I walked up to the living room, where Fry and Bender were sitting down on the purple sofa as usual. "Oh, hey (Y/N). Are you finally going to join us?" Fry asked me and I blushed even more. "Umm....I actually was wondering if maybe I can talk to you in private????"  He gave me a funny look but stood up. "Sure, a problem. I actually wanted to talk to you too." and with that, we both went out for a nice walk. We didn't talk for sometime until a couple minutes after we left.

"Umm, (Y/N). Fry." You both said in unison and he chuckled. "You go first, (Y/N)." I looked at him shocked. Then said, "A-are you sure?" Fry nodded and I sighed, stopping in my tracks to look at him. "Look Fry, I want to tell you something that has been on my mind a lot recently." He gave me a lovely smile and I hastily said, "I love you, Fry. I have during all this time. I just have been too nervous to say anything and it's okay if you don't like me back......" I looked up to Fry and noticed that he had a wide grin on his face. "That's funny.....cause, I was going to say the exact same thing. I love you too, (Y/N)." My heart almost stopped when Fry wrapped me into a hug and kissed me.
