Chapter Three: A new beginning

((The year is still 3016))

The Professor dragged me into some sort of conference room where people where sitting around a table. "Good news everyone! We have a new employee!" Farnsworth shouted and my new coworkers cheered. A lady with purple hair an done eye smiled at me. "Welcome to the team! I'm Leela, the team's captain. What's your name?" Woah..........a Cyclops!!!! You thought in amazement.

"Umm.....I'm (Y/N). It's nice to meet y-you." I stuttered out, staring at her eye. "Eh, oh! I almost forgot! Fry, I will be assigning you to help (Y/N) get situated to everything." Professor Farnsworth said to a guy wearing a red jacket. Leela stood up shocked at his decisions then said, "What!?!!? Why Fry????? That is so unfair!!!!!!" The professor shook his head at Leela in disappointment. "Now Leela, you are a Cyclops and (Y/N) is NOT USED TO CYCLOPS!!! SO STOP COMPLAINING AND BUTT OUT!!!!!" He shouted and Leela's shoulders dropped in shame.

"Uh, now Fry......please look after (Y/N). Since you both came from a different time."  Fry stood up and smiled at me. "WELL......I guess I could look after her." A robot started to laugh then he said, "Ha!! Stuck with a baby sitting job. What a looser!" The Fry guy rolled his eyes then said, "It's not a 'baby sitting job' BENDER!!!!! She's like what, Twenty?" He looked at me and I nodded. "Uh, twenty two actually......." You muttered, blushing a little bit.

"Alright what ever, you two kids go and have some fun." The professor waved us off and Fry led the way. "So, what's your name?" He asked and I fiddled with my fingers, feeling a tad bit shy. "It's (Y/N)." Fry hummed as we stopped at the end of the sidewalk. "What time era are you from?" You asked, wanting to know. He stuffed his hands into his pockets then said, "Umm the 1980's and I got frozen at 2000. What about you?"

Your eyes lit up at that. "2016. That was the year I got frozen." Fry looked at me with a mixture of shock and amazement. "No way!!!! What was it like!?!?" He asked me and I shrugged my shoulders. "It was what ever. But on my last day, I was actually happy for once. You see, this guy I liked asked me out and I could never experience the date anymore."

We entered an apartment room that was small. "Hmm, doesn't this place seem a bit......small??" I asked reluctantly and Fry opened another door that opened up to a bigger room. "Okay, I guess? Cause logic?" I said feeling slightly confused. Fry motioned to the room and said, "Well this is my place. That room back there was Benders room. I can take the couch and you can have the bed...... If you want that is! I mean!!!"

"I can take the couch. I don't mind and I don't want to be a problem." I said awkwardly. Fry shook his head, scratching his head. "NO NO!!! You aren't a problem! If anyone is a problem its me!" He said frantically and I giggled at how nervous he was. He is so cute when he is nervous, you thought while he went to get something to drink. Wait, WHAT!?!? Why am I thinking that this stranger is cute???? Wait he isn't a stranger......he is my coworker now.

I snapped out of your thoughts as Fry started to sing a familiar song. "I'M WALKING ON SUNSHINE!!!!!! WOAH OH!!!! AND DON'T I FEEL GOOD?!?!?! HEY!!!!" I started to sing with him, laughing while singing. "Alright now! And don't I feel good?!?!? Hey! Heheheheh" We both went into a giggling fit. "How do you know that song?" Fry asked me, handing me a Splurm can. "Oh, I just always liked the older songs more than what was on during the 21 century." ((Note: If you aren't a fan of older songs I'm sorry. Just thought it was cute to put in))

Fry stared at me in amazement and then took a long sip of Splurm. "That's cool!!!! You know what??" I let out a giggle and said, "What?" He then spoke. "You are cool. Very cool." A small blush appeared on my face. "You're cool too, Fry." I shyly said back and we spent the rest of the day watching some robot romance show.
