VEERAS' POV.... in hospital 3 hours later.
Ow.
I wake up, no handcuffs.
I look aeound, and notice large doorways and big spaces between areas for wheelchair access.
Then, I see the wheel chair.I scream a few nasty cuses, and grip the sides of the hospital bed.
A nurse rushes in, then chirps, "Good, you're wake! The young man who was in the side car wishes to see you."
I nod, memory cloudy.
Then, an oddly familiar stranger walks in.
He wears a midnight blue shirt, and dark jeans.
His eyes are a vibrant green, and he rushes over to me.
His midnight blue hair, which is obviously dyed, flops over his eyes.
I also notice how utterly cumbsy and obnoxious he is.
He cries, "VEERA! SOMETHING WENT HORRIBLY WRONG IN THAT CRASH! I turned into this ugly mess!"
I slurr, brain fuzzy, "Waadooyouuummeeaaann?"
He cries, "WHAT DO I MEAN? VEERA! How hard did you hit your ever living mind?"
I ask, laughing from something "Are you the president?"
The stranger throws up his pale hands and growls.
He screams, "AARRRGGG!"
He sits in the chair by my bed, and I start to laugh.
Then, as if I have terets or something, I scream, "GEODE!"
The frustrated man snaps to attention, and stands up.
The chair goes flying across the room, eyes a glow with relief.Joy radiates off him.
He screams, "YOU REMEMBERED!"
I slurr, "Rememberwhat?"
Then, the joy turns to anger.
He stalks off in a familiar fashion I swear I've seen before.
Then, the Chiefs' wife walks in.
She asks in a taunting tone, "Who was that?"
I giggle, "The president."
She sighs, and looks me in the face. She grabs a glass, and fills it with ice water.
Then, she dumps it on me.
I scream in shock.
My brain clears, and I stop screaming.
My memory jogs to find out what happned.
Then, I remember the man I called the president.
He seemed familiar.
Then, gripping the bed, I remember what he reacted to.
I scream, "OH MY GOODNESS! OH MY GOODNESS! OH MY GOSH!"
The Chiefs' wife stares for a while, and I scream, "GEODE!"
The man rushes in, eyes wild with relief.
I ask, memory cleared, "What happened?"
He hugs me, and the Chiefs' wife starts smiling evily.
I mouth, "What?"
She points at Geode, and makes kissy faces.
I try not to gag.
NO! NO! NO!
I feel Geode with draw his hug, and looks at the Chiefs' wife.
Her reflexes aren't fast enough, and he sees the face she was making.
His face turns red as a tomato.
Then, he scoops me up, and plants me in the wheelchair.
He glares at the witch, and begins to wheel me away.I ask, "Why don't I just..."
I stand up, and do an epic roll and faceplant.
Ow.
Geode picks me up, and places me back in the humiliation of the wheel chair.
Then, I notice my legs are in protective boots for minor fractures.
Lovely.
Geode wheels me into a back room, and shuts the door.
He paces back and forth, and asks, "If I said I had a life before the stables, would you believe me?"
I nod, scared an confused.
He looks at me with those piercing green eyes that glow like lights in the dark room.
He sighs, running a hand througn his not-so-dyed hair.
He whispers in my ear, "This may sound absolutely insane, but,... I'm a ...."
