Overprotective

Y/N POV: Why did Wilford want me? I was so scared. What if he got to me, Host, and Payton?! He might hurt them! I didn't want that. If it came to it, I would give myself up to keep them safe. I didn't want them to get hurt. I grabbed Payton's shirt and held onto it for a little while, crying all of the tears that I had saved up for five years. 

   "Shhshh, it's okay, Y/N. We won't let Wilford get to you." Payton whispered to me, trying to keep me calm, although I was way passed that. She may have only been 8, but she was brave, way more than me... I gripped onto her tighter. I felt her chuckle a little. 

   "We won't let anything happen to you, Y/N, you know that." Light cooed, kneeling down to me and Payton's height. I nodded into Payton's chest, quickly turning around and grabbing Light. He was taken aback at first, but eventually regained his composure and picked me up, while I just nuzzled into him. 

   "Host won't let brother Wilford get to you, ever." I could hear the slight growl in his voice. Did the bad Host take over again? I think he might have. I wasn't afraid of him, I just didn't want to make him mad either. 

Host's POV: While Light and Payton were trying to calm Y/N down, the bad Host took control again, wanting to be involved. He obviously liked Y/N as much as Host did, even if he didn't want to show it. Host felt the transition of when he took control, it wasn't pleasant.

   "Host won't let brother Wilford get to you, ever." Was the first thing that B.H. (Bad Host) said as he took control. (We will now refer to them as B.H. and Host, as Host is the main personality.) Y/N looked up, knowing that B.H. was in control. She didn't say anything as she reached out to him, wanting him to pick her up. B.H. was obviously shocked at first, but obliged, taking her away from Light quickly.

   As B.H. grabbed her, Y/N shoved her head into the crook of his neck, crying a little more. He tried to keep her calm as he shushed her, patting her back a little bit. She wrapped her arms around his neck, keeping him close. 

B.H. POV (Why not? *shrugs*): Y/N cried into my shoulder, letting all of the crocodile tears fall. (B.H. refers to himself in 1st person from now on.) I shushed her, trying to quiet her. I didn't want to put Y/N in this situation, but I had to, I didn't have a choice. 

   "Host?" Light asked quietly. My head shot up at the sound of his voice, growling. 

   "Don't you dare talk in front of her, you winged dick." I growled at him. He wasn't stupid, he knew what was going on, and he didn't want me to get mad. Too late. 

   B.H.! Host won't let you hurt anybody! You can keep Y/N safe, but Light's a good guy! He's our brother, and you know that! Host shouted. I growled a little, using one of my hands to hold my head, the other still holding Y/N. 

   STOP IT! I know that that fool is our brother! I'm not an idiot! Just leave me and Y/N alone!!! Why couldn't Host just leave me alone with the only person that I've ever liked... Loved!?! Light approached us, holding his arms out.

   "B.H., just calm down, it's alright." He tried to get me to calm down, it wouldn't work. I held Y/N tighter, turning around, not wanting Light to get to us. "Please, just hand Y/N over, we can talk about this." I rolled my eyes, knowing that those tricks won't work on me anymore.

   Host was screaming at me, telling me to put Y/N down. I wouldn't, I couldn't, not now. Light grabbed my shoulder gently, trying to talk to me. I shook him off, snarling as I did. Y/N just kept her head buried in my neck, not wanting any part of this, and I couldn't blame her.

   "B.H., please, I'm begging you, I don't want Y/N to get hurt." I chuckled.

   "And yet you're willing to make Y/N go through this whole Wilford situation." I glared at Light, who now looked ashamed. 

   "But I thought that you and Host were on board with this too?" Payton said gently. I chuckled a bit evilly. 

   "Do you really think that I'm going to risk putting Y/N in any danger? She was the only person that ever gave us a chance! Why would I pass that up just so you can get our deadbeat brother and his asshole of a friend back?!" I snarled. Light glared at me.

   "Language! Y/N's only 5!" I just rolled my eyes.

   "Whatever angel boy." Light glared at me some more. Host was still yelling at me to give Y/N to Light, as not to have her get hurt. 

   JUST GIVE HER TO LIGHT!!! WHAT IF SHE GETS HURT?! THAT'S ON YOU, B.H.! I growled a little at Host. Y/N whimpered a little into my neck, afraid of looking. 

   "Shhh, it's alright." I quieted her, my face softening as I saw how scared Y/N was. 

   "Don't hurt Light and Payton!" She cried into my neck. 

   "I won't, but they need to know their place." I glared at them. I had nothing against Payton, she was a nice girl and a good friend for Y/N, except for the fact that she sided with Light, no matter the situation. She had to learn how to think for herself eventually. 

   "And now we can leave." I told her gently, turning around.

   "We need to figure out how to deal with Wilford! Don't you dare walk out of the door, B.H.!" Light said, getting even more pissed at me. I rounded on him, glaring in his direction, not doing everything that I wanted, as not to scare Y/N. 

   "What if she gets hurt?! How would me and Host cope?! Do you ever think about anyone other than yourself, Light?!" I asked, genuinely wanting to know. Light just sighed.

   "And what if we don't deal with Wilford? He might brainwash Dark and Anti and use them against us, possibly torturing Y/N." Y/N whimpered against me as he said that. I growled at him.

   "Shut your mouth, Light. Maybe I would be willing to talk to you if you didn't constantly throw around the idea of Y/N getting hurt like it's nothing!" Light's eyes softened, realizing what he had been doing this whole time. 

   "I promise that I won't talk like that around Y/N anymore... Now, can we talk?" He questioned. I nodded.

   "Host guesses..." Host took control again.
