She walked ahead of him.

She didn't look back at him, but his eyes never left her.

They walked in silence to an unknown destination. Adrien couldn't stay quiet any longer.

"Marinette." He called out to her. She stopped a few steps ahead of him. Her hands trembled behind her.

She wasn't sure of what was going to happen. Why he dragged her out here. He already rejected Marinette.

... Well he hasn't yet. Is that why he wants to see me? Is it finally the day I have to suck it up and take what I knew has been coming for so long?

She turns facing him. She grit her teeth preparing herself. She stared up at him with furrowed brows and a small pout.

She wasn't ready at all. Just at the thought of being rejected she teared up.
She had to look away.

"I'm sorry Adrien." Her voice trembled. And she couldn't help the tears overflowing.

"I really do love you,"

At her words a bright blush appeared across his face. "Marinette." He reached out to touch her.

She stepped back when she noticed his hand. "But I can't make you happy. All I've ever done is hurt you. As Chat and as Adrien. I can never make up for it!"

"Marinette." Adrien said her name with more force. But she ignored it.

"You're amazing and kind and I just don't deserve you! I'm just a clumsy girl. I couldn't even speak to you before! I-I"

Adrien had enough. He pulled her into his arms. She tried to pull away.

"Let go! I'm not good enough!"

He lost it and cupped her cheeks making her look at him directly. She stared at him wide eyed and speechless.

He glared down at her. She's never seen him so angry before she couldn't move.

"Don't you ever say those words to me again."

Marinette gasped and closed her eyes. "I'm sorry."

"Marinette, I fell for Ladybug." He said. She looked up at him more calmly.

"She was someone who inspired me, My idol. Someone I wanted close to me. Someone I never wanted to lose. Someone who I wanted to make proud.".

He closed his eyes with a smile on his face. Then he opened them and looked into Marinette's eyes.

"Then Marinette confessed to me." He gave a small chuckle.

"It was the weirdest thing. I tried to turn her down without even knowing her. With just a few minutes by her side. I was obsessed."

Marinette stopped crying and stopped shaking. She was looking so intensely at him. His green eyes shone brightly. He had a small blush on his cheek and the most endearing smile she has ever seen.

"And I fell for her hard."

Her face turned bright red. She was afraid she would pass out right there. He liked her. It wasn't her imagination. It wasn't just lame flirting he actually liked her. Both versions of her!

"I love you Marinette. And I can't stop. For years I thought I had a one-sided love."

He laughed as he slid down. Marinette in shock kneeled down beside him. "Adrien? Are you alright?" She asked him nervously.

He looked up at her with a childish grin. One she missed terribly. "Adrien?"

"I love you." He told her once again and she was left a stuttering mess.

She had to cover her face. It was too much for her. Her heart was racing and her cheeks were burning.

He gave a small pout when she hid her face. He knocked his forehead against her hands. A blush across his cheeks. "Don't do that. I want to see you."

Without a second thought she moved her hands and there again was the boy she had loved for so long.

It was like a dream come true. Nothing could compare.

"A-and your answer?" He asked quietly.

Marinette confused tilted her head to the side.

He only blushed harder. He faced the ground to gain back his confidence but then looked directly at her.

"Your answer to my confession."

"Ah..." was what came out of her mouth.

He confessed to me. He confessed to me? He confessed to me. Yeah, he confessed to me. To me? Confessed?

It took her awhile to process. But when it sunk in. It hit her like a train.

Her face turned bright red and her eyes teared up.

"I-I've always loved you Adrien!" She answered through happy cries.

He laughed at her reaction. "It's too cute I can't stand it."

"Thank you Marinette. For everything." He raised his hand to wipe away her tears but lingered on her cheek.

She stopped crying and stared up at him. He had such an intense look on his face and she blushed when she noticed his eyes had dropped to her lips.

He looked back into her eyes. "I love you."

To which she smiled and answered. "I love you too.

He then leaned in and pressed his lips against hers. Both of their hearts skipping at the touch.

One feeling they'll never forget.
