I don't think anyone could ever know how confused I was when I woke up to see 7 CHILDREN rather than dwarves. The oldest one seemed to only be around 13.

The shock on their faces when I asked where their parents were, probably beat mine.

"You mean you don't know?" Sneezy asked.

"Know what?" I asked, confused.

They all looked at each other and then looked at me. "Our parents died." The oldest girl told me.

"A long time ago." Sneezy added.

How could they say it so causally?! Mine died when I was 6 and 10 years later, it's still impossible for me to talk about!

"Oh. Well. Mine are...dead too." I looked down at the ground.

"Yeah, everyone knows that, Snow White."

I looked up, remembering that Snow White's parents also died. I laugh nervously. "Yeah, of course."

The dwarv-I mean children looked at me strangely. "So...about that meal..." The kid I call Grumpy trailed off.

"Before that, one more thing, what are your names?"

The oldest girl stepped forward first and smiled. "I'm Hannah." She pointed to the oldest boy and said, "That's Daniel, but we call him Doc." She pointed to grumpy. "That's Giles." She pointed to Sneezy. "That's Sean," Then to a boy who looked ready to drop, "and that's Samuel."

Then a girl, slightly blushing, spoke. "I'm Becca," she pushed another girl in front of her, "and this is Danielle."

I nodded, my brain trying process all names I had received. I finally went down stairs into the small kitchen.

I found the ingredients I needed and started. (A/N I'm not going to bore you with details about the cooking. Like... 'I put the flour in the small bowl and mixed the egg....*snore*)

At the end, I had made chicken pot pie. Yum!

The kids came down and sat at the table. They were the fastest eaters I had ever seen. They were done when I was only about a quarter way through mine. They all thanked me except for Danielle, I think her name was. She just nodded her head at me a put her dishes in the sink.

The 7 kids made their way upstairs, obviously tired, while I finished eating and put my dishes in the sink and started washing them.

"Hey."

I let out a small shriek and turned around, pointing a spatula at whoever was behind me.

"Stay back. I did karate for a trimester in middle school." I yelled, waving the spatula around.

"Woah, Princess, calm down. It's just me."

"WILL!"

Will laughed and then shushed me. "Shh. You don't want to wake up those kids, do you?"

I glared at him."What is with that anyway? I thought they were supposed to be dwarves."

Will tutted. "You wouldn't believe how many things those Grimm brothers got wrong in fairy tales."

"Ok, so they're 7 children living alone in house, the oldest one being about 13, and their parents are dead. How long have their parents been dead for?" I asked him.
