I swear to Lucifer if I have to go to another one of these "support group" things again I'm going to exorcise myself. I'm a demon, I'm not supposed to be a modeled citizen. I was born to be bad, not talk about politics.
Whatever, they don't know that I still go out and hunt. As a matter of fact, I was out on a hunt that one rainy night. That night I met him.
flashback
It was really late, I had noticed a man come out of his office and head to his car. The parking lot was dark, I decided to have a bit of fun. I'd make lampposts turn on and off, I'd lock his car right after he'd unlock it, break some bottles close to him. It was a blast.
My eyes had turned fully black, my hands turned to claws, I was ready. I was creeping up to him, getting ready for the kill. I needed the taste of human blood and I needed it now. I was about to cut his throat but that's when he showed up.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you.." a deep, masculine voice said. My claws shrank back down to hands, the blackness is my eyes dissipated. I turned around searching for the source of that voice. At that point the man had driven away in his car.
I saw glowing, red eyes start walking toward me. As he came more into view, I had noticed he was a decently tall, fair skinned man. His hair was black as night and flowed nicely. His body was very toned. He was attractive, yes, but I was pissed.
"Hey what gives, man?" He just chuckled, revealing his perfectly white teeth. "You know, being a demon doesn't mean you have to mess with people like that." He began walking closer to me. "Well then what's the purpose of being a demon, Mr. Know It All?" "Well, certainly not that. What's your name?"
He was confusing me, and that made me angrier. "They call me Harley." He chuckled again. "Yeah, okay. What's your actual name?" What's with this guy? I thought. He was standing right in front of me, staring deep into my eyes. "(y/n)," I sighed. He smiled and twirled a strand of my hair around his fingers. "Well, (y/n), it was very nice to meet you. Just remember what I told you." He began to walk away, the strand of hair falling back into place. "Wait!" He stopped, turning around only so the side of his face was visible. "I don't get to know your name?" All he did was smile. "They call me Joker," he said. "Ha ha, very funny. What's your actual name?" "The name's Dark." And with that he vanished.
I stood there perplexed. I felt weird, my chest felt, tingly? No not really that, but it didn't feel right. He'd left his scent near me. I decided to just forget about it and go home.
present time
It's been about a week and a half since that incident with Dark. That feeling in my chest never went away. My thoughts were just flooded with Dark's face and his words. I barely left the abandoned warehouse that I call my home. I drink the blood of the rats in there to survive.
It was rainy today. The warehouse was darkly lit, a faint, gray glow from the big windows at the top were the only sources of light. I sat in the top loft, just like I have been for the past week and a half. I stared blankly out the giant window, watching little droplets of rain fall down it slowly.
"You know when I said what I said, I didn't mean you couldn't leave your house." I heard from the other side of the loft. I jumped at the sudden voice. Great, he's found where I live. "How did you find me?" "Demons live in a limited number of places, it's not that difficult to find them."
Dark began walking into sight. I watched every step he took. He sat down next to me. "I see you've been taking my advice, however." He motioned to the dead rats on the floor. "Well, I gotta eat something."
The feeling in my chest felt stronger now that he was here. His scent filling my nose made me knees feel weak. His words made me jump again, "So ask away." "What?" "Oh come on, (y/n), I know you're not stupid. And I know you want to know what's going on in here, and in here." He pointed to my chest and head. He's right, I did.
I sighed, deciding to just not be a bitch and ask. "What is it?" I turned my head to look at him to find he was already looking at me, smirking. "That, my dear (y/n), is called feelings. Specifically feelings for when you like someone." Like someone? I've never liked anyone like that before. "I've never liked anyone before," I said, looking down to my lap. "Well maybe," he put one hand next to my head on the wall, the other at my side. His face was in front of mine, my whole body felt weak, he was smirking, "you should try."
