"I'm here for my wife, why else would I be here? " Jacob yelled at Rayan, with his arms folded.

"Oh! so now all of a sudden she's your wife ?" Rayan said looking shocked but he was being sarcastic.

"She's always been my wife, even though she doesn't remember that."

"Wow... i'm shocked. I mean, you've been sleeping around with that hot little therapist and now all of a sudden you're bringing flowers and you probably told my sister a bunch of bullshit before i got here." Brianna sighed and closed her eyes wishing they'd stop. Brianna didn't remember the relationship between her and Jacob nor did she have romantic feelings towards him but she was a little jealous and hurt on the inside that he's sleeping with someone while married to her.

She should be right ?

"I slept with her once.." Jacob said with a little hesitation in his voice, making it known that that was a lie.

"Really Jacob ?" Rayan said in a low voice then pointed at Brianna "You gonna stand here and lie in front of my sister like that ? if you're ever looking to have a clean start, now would be a good time to tell her the truth. This may be your only chance, i'm taking her to Miami to live with me." Rayan said smartly.

Jacob suddenly started to erupt in laughter.

"Over my dead body" Jacob said sternly "She's mine and she's staying here with me."

"She's yours? my sister may be married to you but she's not your property so she can do as she pleases, with or without your permission." Rayan said through his teeth.

"Oh yeah? what makes you think she'd wanna go with you anyway ? all those years you left her here with Craig, all those years he beat the shit out of her and not once you came to save her. All those years when she needed you the most and you weren't there....but i was and guess what ? i'm always gonna be here for her and i know deep down inside she probably hates you for leaving her with him and now all of a sudden you want to take her away from the one man that's ever cared about her."

"Shut the fuck up!"

"Why? i'm telling the truth like you said earlier, i may not see her again if she leaves with you but me saying that would be a lie cause i'd track you down and get my wife back and bring her home but i doubt she'd leave with a brother that left her to be abused and used all those years and did nothing. You think you could just pick her up and take her away from the one good man in her life ? yeah i messed up but only because i was stressed out and almost slipped into depression cause I blamed myself for what happened and the thought of loosing her just....look i'd never purposely hurt her, i gave her way to much to do that. I took her in after he scared her for life" Jacob was now standing in front of Rayan's face.

Brianna just sat there quiet not knowing how to feel about all of this, She knew Ray didn't purposely leave her. He has his reason even though he never really told her.

"Did you know she had nightmares for two years after she left him, but they stopped because i had to take her to a therapist but also because she felt safe with me cause she knew i'd do anything to protect her from him."

"Can't say the same for you, cause you weren't there, you only came here because of the accident, and you barely knew me enough to be judging me the way you were. Yeah we were cool once but you knew why you didn't want me around your sister.... because i was here and you weren't, i saved her from Craig and you didn't. You weren't being a good brother. So don't try to stop your sister from being with me because i messed up once."
