"You should go on a date with me."
"..what."
You and G were silently eating breakfast, and it was nice, until you decided to open your mouth. G was one that really liked silence. If he decided he wasn't going to talk, he would like it to stay that way.
You always, always interrupted the silence. Usually he could get you to shut your mouth, but what.
..What.
"Not like, a romantic date," You started to explain, playing with your food. He smacked at your hand as you continued to talk. "There's a- stop it! There's a Sunday food market and I think we should go together. Just pick up some good ol produce for the house, and get some treats while we're there. I just feel like we don't know each other very well and this could be a bonding experience." G stared at you. That seemed reasonable. In fact, that was a great idea. Crowds weren't exactly his go-to fun activity, but god did you guys need something wholesome in the house.
"alright, hun." G nodded his head. "but if you wanted to know me a little better, you coulda-"
"I have already thought of every possible flirt you could have made with this, G," You interrupted him, slightly smirking. "And I have to say, very sleazy, and I'm not impressed."
You both left for the Market around eleven.
---
"What if we started a garden?"
"no."
"What if we started knitting the rest of our clothes? Wouldn't that be awesome?"
"no." Shortly into the event, G realized that you turned completely into a child during these things. Maybe you were always like this out of the house? He would have no idea, but he hoped not. G had to constantly drag you away from booths as your head was full of ideas that would just fall apart the next day.
A garden did sound nice, though.
"Oh my god." You gasped, and G's head snapped over to you. Your back was facing him, and he couldn't see what you were holding. You looked back at him, smirking. "I am so buying this for you."
"honey, no."
"Honey, yes." You headed for the nice old lady sitting in the corner, who looked surprised you were actually purchasing something. He still couldn't see what you were purchasing, and the longer you stayed over there, the more nervous he got. When he saw the older woman perk up and head to the storage boxes, G really started to sweat.
G distracted himself somewhat with another booth, where there were local berries all around. He wondered if you liked pie, and what kind was your favorite as he purchased several varieties. Usually he wouldn't spoil himself like this, but markets were his weakness. He didn't know how you possibly figured it out, but he was enjoying himself now.
"G~ Get your skele-butt over here, I have the most amazing thing."
No longer enjoying himself. G groaned, staying in his spot. You were fine with that and skipped over to him. A second later, something was placed on top of his head.
"You like it? You look great in it." Looking up, he could tell it was a straw sunhat. Why would you get so worked up over that..? Taking it off, G inspected the thing inside and out, in the end finding nothing out of the ordinary other than a small black ribbon around it that he didn't really have an opinion over.
"..thanks?"
"That's not all!" Your grin got bigger, and you took clothing from behind your back that he didn't notice before. You held it up in front of his face, giggling behind it.
