Severus paced up and down in front of Dumbledore, angry and stressed.

" - mediocre, arrogant as his father, a determined rulebreaker delighted to find himself famous, attention seeking and impertinent - " Severus said, fuming.

"You see what you expect to see, Severus," Dumbledore said calmly, without raising his eyes from a copy of Transfiguration Today, which only made Severus more frustrated. "Other teachers report that the boy is modest, likeable, and reasonably talented. Personally, I find him an engaging child." Dumbledore turned a page, and said, still not looking up, "Keep an eye on Quirrell, won't you?"

Severus, frustrated, stormed out of the room, with a swish of his cloak, slamming the door shut behind him. He muttered to himself all the way back to the dungeons and shut himself in his office for the rest of the night and graded the wretched papers from all his incompetent students.
