chapter 5: I Wish that it Could Be like That

Lisa's POV

I then pushed the thoughts about the tune aside as  I knocked on the door

"Come in" I hear her say faintly

Twisting the knob of the door I finally push it all the way in to reveal Lauren laying on her bed whilst doing something on her phone, before I spoke I closed the door behind me 

There was silence since she just paid all her attention to her phone not caring I guess that I'm even here

"So..." I trailed off looking at her, she then looked at me but quickly averted her gaze back to the device in front of her

"What are you doing here Lise?" She asks not making eye contact

"I just thought that something was wrong since you didn't really eat" I say honestly

"I just didn't really feel like it" She said and now I was getting frustrated since it's rude to talk to someone without making eye contact but I decided to play cool

"What are you doing?" I then ask trying to make conversation with my sister

"Twitter" She plainly says

That's it

"Laur, can you please look at me for like two seconds?!" I ask my voice raising a bit, she then sighed and put her phone beside her as she looked at me longer than those one second glances she was giving me just earlier

"Are you mad at me?" I blurted out since it was the first thing on my mind 

"No" She says 

"Then why did you act all weird when I arrived? I know that you're not like that Laur" I tell her 

"Something just uh clicked and it's nothing about you" She says but then she sits up 

"So you're okay with me being here?" I ask biting my bottom lip

"Of course" She says then finally gives me a smile, a real one

She then stands up from her bed and approaches me and she did something unexpected

She hugged me

I don't know why I was so shocked but maybe because I didn't feel as if I was forcing her to do this and that simple realization made me smile and hug her tighter

"I'm sorry if you thought that I was avoiding you" She whispered into my ear

I was about to reply when my phone rang from my back pocket and that sound made me pull away 

Taking my phone out of my pocket to check who was calling I glanced at Lauren to see her with a frown on her face, I immediately answered the phone when I found out who it was

"Hey Colin!" I said cheerfully with a huge grin on my face

"Babe how was your flight?" He immediately asks

"It was okay and tiring" I say 

He then kept talking and asking things while I gladly listened

Narrator's POV

As Lisa talked to her boyfriend on the phone Lauren couldn't help but feel awkward in the position she was in, her older sister was simply talking to her oh-so perfect boyfriend while she was there weirdly standing and hearing every reply Lisa had for the guy

But besides the odd feeling she also felt another strong emotion that just wanted to rip the phone from Lisa's hand and throw it out the window

She couldn't figure out what that feeling was so she just tried so hard to ignore it, but as Lisa laughed at what the boy had said to her over the device, she decided that  it's best for her to leave before the unknown feeling consumes her

Lisa was so caught up with her conversation with Colin that she didn't notice Lauren gone until the door closed, she frowned at the action but continued to talk to her boyfriend 

"So that happened and it was really dramatic trust me" Said Colin

"Hey uh babe I need to fix something and it's pretty late you need to sleep" She says after a few minutes of being left alone in the room

"Aww look my girlfriend's concerned but I promise that I'll talk to you in the morning okay thanks babe I love you" Colin says

"I love you too" Lisa replies and with that their phone call ends

She quickly exits the room to find Lauren as she went down the stairs Lisa saw Dani 

"Lisa! I heard that Colin called what did he say?" She asks 

"What how'd you know?" Lisa asked

"I have ears duh" Dani replies as Lisa rolled her eyes

"Well..." Lisa trailed off and with that they started talking about Colin again

Forgetting Lauren
