chapter 7: Cause I'm Yours

The plane ride to Colorado was relatively quiet with Lauren occupying the seat near the window listening to music while Lisa was skyping with Colin.

"I got the guest bedroom all set for your sister to be comfortable here Lise, I even got this stuffed toy to keep her company" Colin says bringing a stuffed toy to the camera and Lisa rolling her eyes

Colin can really be a kid sometimes but that's one of the reasons why Lisa loves him so much

But as Lisa's eyes landed on Lauren who had her eyes closed while listening to music, she couldn't help but feel like things still weren't okay. Sure they've talked about it and all but Lisa still feels off.

Maybe they need time to slip back into routine?

Yeah, time that would work

When they got to the airport fans swarmed them, luckily they had security and they safely got to their car.

Ryder was calling and Lisa put the phone on speaker because he had to speak to the two of them

"Hello Lauren" Ryder said and Lauren replied with a faint hi

"Well I'm sorry that I won't be meeting you today because there's an errand I need to run but tomorrow morning for sure. I've got a plan for you girls to do which we will discuss tomorrow, all good?"

"Yeah okay" Lisa replied and after a few more reminders the call ended

They got back to Lisa's apartment a few minutes later and the older girl leaped into her boyfriend's arms

"Whoa! Lise chill, it's not like we've not seen each other for a whole month!" Colin exclaimed because of how tightly Lisa was holding her

"Shut up I missed you" Lisa said burying her face into his neck

"I missed you too babe" He replied and let Lisa down as she introduced Colin to Lauren, who had a small smile watching the interaction

~hours later~

Colin had to leave because there was an emergency at work which left Lauren and Lisa alone

The two didn't talk and was still very awkward with each other

"Colin's a good guy" Lauren said breaking the silence

"Yeah he is" Lisa smiled thinking of her boyfriend

"He's lucky to have you" Lauren spoke softly looking at Lisa while she smiled at Lauren

"Speaking of, do you have a boyfriend Laur?" Lisa asked not knowing what was going on in her sister's life whilst she was gone

"I had one before, his name was Felix"

"What happened?" Lisa asked getting concerned since Lauren didn't look enthusiastic, Lisa facepalms herself mentally for the thought of course Lauren doesn't feel enthusiastic of the idea of her ex she was just saddened by the realization that she wasn't there to be a shoulder to cry on for her younger sister.

"We decided that it was best if we just stay friends" Lauren smiled at the idea

"Oh okay I'm glad you guys are still friends" Lisa said

"Look Laur, I know we just talked about this but we're going to have to address the elephant in the room" Lisa said once again

"Yeah... I'm really sorry again for leaving you Lauren" Lisa said looking at her sister in the eye

"Well at least you're back now" Lauren said smiling

"You're back and I'm not sure how I feel about that" Lauren added and Lisa felt her smile falter

"What?" Lisa said

"I don't think I missed being annoyed by you" Lauren broke out into a large grin which made Lisa roll her eyes and shove Lauren playfully

"You bean, I'm not annoying" Lisa said

"Whatever floats your boat Lise" Lauren shot back

"Well at least I didn't embarrass myself in front of my crush" Lisa countered and Lauren's face turned red and covered it with her hands when Lisa noticed and started laughing at her

"It was Dani's fault! She changed my ringtone into an obnoxious bird cackling and it rang while I was talking to him"

"W-what did you s-say his face looked like?" Lisa said still laughing

"He looked like someone had just told him that I was a guy and not a girl" Lauren replied and Lisa's laughter died down

"You didn't change did you?" Lauren asked

"What do you mean Laur?" Lisa asked tilting her head

"You're still the older sister I had before you left, you're still the best friend I had and still the most childish adult I have" She said smiling at the last one

"I'd never change" Lisa said
