Concequence

Once we got back I set to work on getting her a small tent and bedding. Sarah sat quietly by the fire pit she set up, once I was done i headed to my bag and got out the food and started preparing it on the slab of stone I used as a frying pan.

Sarah had been watching intently as i cooked " not a lot of meat and a lot of potatoes" she said " well meat is hard to obtain unless its canned and potatoes are easy to grow" I said as I lifted the food off the fire and placed it in between us " go ahead help yourself" I said as I picked up a potato she nodded and picked up a potato herself " be glad most scavengers eat canned instead of cooked" I say after we finished "do you always eat cooked? " she asked normally I would get a little pissed if someone asked so many question but i needed someone to talk to lately

" not always,this week I was lucky enough to find extra batteries. Anyways we're heading to bed early we need to go to the market tomorrow, I don't have enough food for the both of us and if some one question our relationship I'm using that as an excuse" I say pointing to her brand she nods then heads to her tent while I kicked out the fire and headed to my own tent.

I woke to the sound of scraping and jumped out of my tent with my knife to find Sarah doing something with a shovel realizing she was about to swing the shovel at me i put the knife away and looked at what she was doing " why are you tilling the ground sure were next to a forest but the soil doesn't have nutrients " i said recalling the potatoes i wasted trying that, she shook her head " I grew my own garden" she muttered" really, so you have agriculture skill?" I said "Yes but, why near the forest for a camp?" She asked timidly " people avoid it due to them not knowing what to do if they got lost in there, anyways you can do that while i recharge batteries and you might want to know theres a river close by in the forest, plant there just follow the path" she nodded and ran off into the forest

When she came back i had used up all my materials for batteries and was waiting sharpening my knife and new machete
"If you're done then lets go to the market now, i dont think you have very much to plant so we'll buy you some seeds or something"i said preparing my travelpack, she nodded and waited by her tent When i was done i called out for her and went towards the market.

On our way to the market she seemed a little eager, "what is it?" I ask she seemed either shocked or confused, maybe both. "Umm why?"she mumbled "why I saved you?" I ask in return she nodded "
