** oh yes the classic lab partner scenario, with a twist**

" turn to page 348 and answer the questions on biology once you have done so you will all be assighned your lab partners for the term" announced mrs hoey our science teacher

I glanced around the room, as did most people, at our choices for lab partners. I couldn't really see anyone I liked or knew well, and I didn't know who thegr two people infront of me were as they didn't turn. so I guess ill just see how it works out.

once i complete my work i walk up to mrs hoey to hand in my work.

" good job aria, you can be partnered with...." mrs hoey said as i heard someone coming up behind me " perfect!, you can be partnered with luke." she finished pointing behind me.

i turned around and i think i almost melted, it was the hot boy who was looking at me earlier, he stared straight into my green eyes with his amber ones, then nodded and stepped past me to hand in his work.

he moved his stuff to the seat next to me and i decided it was time i introduced myself.

"I'm aria" i said shaking his hand

" i know" he said

" really? how?"

" i was told about what happened, everyone knows, they were telling me to stay away from you"

my heart sank " oh"

" sorry i didn't mean to upset you"

" its ok" i said as a tear rolled down my cheek, he wiped it softly with his thumb and pushed a strand of hair from my face. he stared into my eyes.

" you sure?"

i felt like i needed to tell him the truth yet id only known him for 2 minutes.

"no"

" well i think we should change that"

i was confused

"how can you -"

" can i walk with you after school?"

" to where silly?" I joked

" i don't know, where ever you want"

" sure" i said a little too quickly " i would like that"

he smiled, i turned away.

" well be watching a short video on organisms and then ill have you do a prac task"said mrs hoey. then she went to the tv to set up the video.

"so?'' i said turning to luke

"so." he replied

"whats the latest news?" i asked, regretting it after. lame. oh god. ugh

"the news hey? well last i heard was something about the morg and the cemetary missing bodies this morning?"

"ew, really?"

"yeah somones taken them or something"

" that's messed up"

"shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!" Mrs hoey growled

We fell silent

After the video Mrs hoey handed out our tasks. We were dissecting a rat. What a great first day back.

" you squeamish?" Luke asked mockingly

"no way" I replied

We laughed then we heard the girls at the back scream. And one of them fainted. We just took it as them being scared. But one by one all the groups began to scream. And as we cut open our rat, we found out why.

Inside was a human finger. With mahalias ring.
